HIDE ELLA Hotel & Resort

I had a wonderful stay at Hide Ella! The staff were excellent—very friendly, polite, and always helpful, especially the front office team who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The food was also delicious and fresh. Overall, a great experience—I highly recommend it!

The road up to the hotel could be an issue if it was raining heavily- although we didn’t have any problems

The view from the hotel was absolutely spectacular. It was beautiful sitting in the restaurant having breakfast and dinner looking at the mountain view. The food in the restaurant for breakfast and dinner was excellent. The staff there were friendly and efficient. Our room was small compared to the other hotels we stayed in, but this is a boutique style hotel. There is a long hilly narrow road up to the hotel which stopped us walking down into town which was a shame. We relied on our driver to take us out and sometimes a tuk tuk back up the hill. There are lots of restaurants and bars in town and we went to a fantastic modern pool club - Ravana Pool Club - which is worth a visit for pool, scenery, music and food. We loved Ella.

The long hill up to the hotel. Rooms are small. Our room with a view of Ella Rock had a big tree outside mostly blocking our view. We did have a balcony but our friends did not. Hotel is expensive.

customer service was extra ordinary, ever detail was perfect pf the property Ramesh and Janath were very polite and kind to us. best guys in right place

It is advertised as a 4 star hotel but feels like that was the case when it was first built but has just been left since. Many elements of the room were very tired, worn or stained. There was exposed wiring all over and the TV was barely hanging to to the wall. The staff were helpful to a point but were unable to provide simple things like set Tuk Tuk trip prices for specific locations or help you talk with the driver who was their preferred choice. It was also up a steep hill on a badly lit road (hence the great view) but t made it hard to get too or from without a vehicle.
