Villa Louise Hue Beach Boutique Hotel

Departure was the best part of this nightmare experience. Staff were friendly and kind but not up to the task of such an overpriced resort. Breakfast was quite good and views were sorta nice except that a massive construction project right in front of the hotel marred the scenery.

This is poor value even if they didn't have a major very noisy and unsightly seawall construction project right in front of the villa that also made it very difficult to walk the beach and enjoy the location. I imagined a tranquil get away from it all experience but waking at 6 AM to loud banging and bulldozers made it hellish. That problem will last until end of year at least. But then there are fundamental problems with the poorly designed villas. Yes there is a verandah with what might be a stunning view but in the toilet the toilet paper is located behind you requiring a major 180 degree twist...is locating the toilet roll holder in a convenient place really so hard to figure out? And the bath is hard to access requiring one to step up a few narrow steps (that become slippery) to enter. The hairdryer? sounds like a construction drill when turned on..demonstrated to the cleaning lady who just unplugged the beast...and in bed one would want to have some convenient places to plug in devices but plugs are inconveniently located. Nice to have a mosquito net (there are no screens on windows if you like fresh air and sound of waves) but you have to unfurl yourself while trying not to bash your ankles against the protruding corners of the bed platform (table is placed to narrow passageway) The furniture is clunky and uncomfortable...moving a desk or restaurant chair is heavy lifting. Beyond the numerous disastrous design flaws one can only lament the poor maintenance...its a place in decline where the rot has already set in ..pity because the location is nice. I have never written a negative review before but I feel others should be warned to avoid this miserable and $$$ place. Owner should have at least warned customers about the construction that lasts from 6 am until sunset, rain or shine.

air con not turned on for arrival, bea h bar never opened and, the beach was inaccessible due to local government construction so no where to be on the beach. basically the idea of a beach resort was kaput. since there was no beach, trips to town became the amusement and they were expensive 🫰

Lovely French design buildings, great restaurant with indoor swimming pools and great food.

Unfortunately heavy beach maintenance underway which we were not made aware of. Very noisy and prevented beach access.

Beautiful location, great facilities, very relaxing. Great staff, speak good English and very helpful and kind.

Wish we stayed longer

Good service, picturesque view from the room & the restaurant. I loved the Hue ancient architecure. Location wise, it is a bit hidden but it's then a unique point of the resort. A perfect hideaway trip.

Probably need a porter to help carry stuff from the gate.

Traditional feel. Very peaceful. Very nice staff. Beautiful views. Amazing sunrise views.

Felt a little tired in places. (Our door didn’t lock properly). It was a bit remote.

This is one of the best boutique resorts i have visited. Some say its a little outdated, but i say its part of the charm. The interior is stunning and gives you exactly the right holiday vibes for the location. The beach is secluded and the beach bar has a nice Jamacia meets Nam vibe. The food in the in restaurant is one of the best we had in Vietnam. And then the staff….the staff were amazing, helpful, patient, friendly and so much more. Would recommend Villa Louise to anyone visiting Hue area. This is one of those places which deserve to survive. I wish them all the customers they need.

Lots of charm and beautifully built in colonial style. One of the best beaches I’ve seen and with little people. Very good food and service. Facilities could need some maintenance but it will not bother you.
