Chithirapuram Palace

I received a very warm welcome from the very charismatic manager ' Manoj ' all the staff were very attentive and very polite. It is a very beautiful, charming hotel, consisting of 5 rooms. My room looked onto the pool and it had a very spacious terrace. A lovely sense of openness and stunning views from the pool area. The rooms are very well appointed and spacious. It's lovely to have drinking water in glass bottles. A kettle and tea/coffee. It's located in a very calm area, you can walk into the Old Town and tuk tuks and taxis are available to bring you back, if needed. Lots of cafés etc..enroute. Mannar is approx 8km, which is easily doable by tuk tuk or taxi. There is a great selection on the menu and breakfasts were more than satisfying ! I've had a wonderful stay and highly recommend this hotel and it's excellent value for money. I've visited most of the recommended trips, tea factory, tea plantations, avedic farm, botanical gardens etc...plenty to do and see, all worthwhile !

The stay for our familiy was excellent. The manager and staff was very friendly and did what they could to ensure a plesant stay for us. Breakfast is basic, but good. The rooms we stayed in were excellent and the swiming pool area was great. The location is a in a quite place and may be a bit difficult to find. Manoj, the manager, also helped to arrange transport with Mahendra, which ensured reliable transport

Ein traumhaftes kleines Häuschen mit einem zuvorkommenden Personal, umhüllt von toller Landschaft und zwitschernden Vögeln. Sehr zu empfehlen wer Ruhe und Natur liebt!

Clean place and good location. Manoj was an excellent. Beautiful views from the balcony.

The shower didn’t have a shower curtain so water was spilling into surrounding area.
