Penny and Andrada treated us like family. My wife is a vegan and Penny was very accommodating with food.

Amazing place

The property is peaceful, well cared for, and all the little cabins are unique. There is a little creek that has water flowing to add to the quaintness of the property. Our place had everything you needed with a fully stocked kitchen, way better than any other rental we have stayed in. Penny is absolutely fabulous and one of a kind! She greeted us and helped us plan our time in Maramures. She arranged for a dinner for us to have a traditional, delicious experience locally. We had local fresh food stocked in our place when we arrived. Penny goes out of her way to make sure you have a fabulous experience. We went to see the sheep herders milk the sheep in the evening which was a very special time and was planned for us. Penny was amazing with our children and they say their experience at the Village Pension was their favorite stop on our Romanian road trip! I would highly recommend the Village Pension if you want a truly authentic, calm experience in the countryside of Romania.

The place is very friendly with kids, there is a small river, a peaceful place and beautiful designs interior and outdoor. Penny is a very good and kind person, very helpful.

Was a lovely pension house, in the beautiful village of Breb, which was easy to walk into. The hostesses Penny and Andrada are really helpful and friendly and can't do enough to help. Penny actually took me twice up to sheep station to see traditional sheep milking and cheese making, which was brilliant. There was a great selection in the welcome pack, cheese, eggs, bread, milk etc, which were very useful.

My friends, a couple, stayed in the bedroom upstairs, I slept on the sofa bed downstairs which was very comfortable. the only drawback was having to go to the bathroom in the night I had to go into the bedroom to access it so next time I will get a villa with 2 bedrooms!

This is the place where the time stopped, leaving the traveler the opportunity to find themselves and relearn to breathe a little. It is the place where the roosters still sing in the morning and the crickets are the masters of the evening... I loved every second spent there. Penny and Andrada became family very quickly.
