"Good resort, value for money questionable, "Tajness" missing."

Excellent location. The beach and the pool are special highlights. Also, the spa was a great experience.

For almost USD 600 a night, the room is very basic. Amenities, comfort and storage in rooms is on par with USD 200 rooms (minus the location etc.) - more a Vivanta room than a Taj one. Secondly, there was constant civil work happening at the hotel from 9 AM to 8 PM in the Christmas - New Year week!!! Thirdly, service while good in general, crumbles when the resort gets to 80% occupany it seems. Unfortunately, the "Tajness" was missing.

Staff here is the best, especially Mr. Matthews, the general manager. A real gem of a person. Under his leadership, the entire team of Taj is extremely professional and efficient! Wouldn't expect anything less from Taj. Great service as always!

Some dishes in the buffet were mislabelled, some lid holders were missing. Some dishes were cold, some chicken overcooked. The dal makhani could be more creamy. The dessert section was amazing though. Overall food and the presentation could be better. Overall a great experience nevertheless!
