Zen Boutique Resort provided exceptional service! The manager was amazing! Welcomed me with soo much warmth and not to mention the cocktail special! 😂🔥🔥 definitely perfect value for money!

Literally everything. I felt very disconnected from the outside would as if I was living in the middle of a magical garden. The amazing couple that own the place made our stay wholesome and very much memorable. Love you guys and miss you already. The staaffff amazing amazing amazing. Food was out of this world.

I had a really great and relaxing stay at the Zen Boutique. The chalet was well-designed and comfortable and I really liked the outside bathroom. Everyone who worked there was friendly and helpful with advice and things to do, and the food and drink was delicious! I wish I'd booked for longer.

We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect place to wrap up our honeymoon. This hotel felt like our own little sanctuary—quiet, intimate, and full of charm. The pool was beautiful, the rooms spotless and stylish, and the breakfast delicious and plentiful. Dinner and cocktails were equally impressive, making it easy to enjoy romantic evenings without leaving the hotel. The beds were firm, but we didn’t mind. What truly stood out was the incredibly friendly staff and Sarah, the wonderful owner, who made us feel genuinely welcome. We loved it so much that we extended our stay by three nights. A perfect place to relax, unwind, and soak in the last moments of our trip.

Our stay at Zen Boutique Hotel was truly unforgettable — hands down the best experience we had in Zanzibar after staying in six different places! From the moment we arrived, the attention to detail was evident. The property is beautifully designed, with a fantastic pool area and plenty of inviting social spaces to relax and unwind. Everything was so thoughtfully laid out, creating a perfect balance of comfort and style. What really made our stay exceptional were the owners and staff. The owners went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, even organizing a private birthday celebration complete with a specially arranged cake — such a thoughtful and personal touch that meant the world to us. The staff were equally outstanding: incredibly kind, friendly, and always ready to help with a smile. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The service we received at Zen Boutique Hotel was by far the best we experienced in all of Zanzibar. It’s a place that genuinely cares about its guests and creates a warm, welcoming atmosphere from start to finish. A huge thank you to everyone at Zen — you made our trip truly special. We highly recommend this gem of a hotel and hope to be back very soon!

Its cozy environment with nice and staffs are so welcoming and have good customer care.

Electricity is not stable and there’s no attentive backup generator

The food was amazing , Sarah organised transportation for me to go out which was excellent for me . I loved it .

The toilet was abit difficult for me to flush .

They are incredibly warm-hearted and always willing to go above and beyond to assist with anything needed.

The staff is incredibly hospitable, the rooms are exquisitely designed, and the bathroom is exceptionally stylish.
