Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta - All Inclusive

A great hotel with nice hospitality while we were there. We have stayed here 3 times over the past 5 years. Unfortunately for us we bought into the Playa Collection last year and used our free nights on this stay. I agree to pay for an extra night for a room that was not a club room as there were no club rooms for all four nights that we were able to come for vacation. I was checking my CC statement after we got home and realized we were overcharged by about $1500 USD. I have called and written to the Hyatt Ziva and was told the refund was processed on their end. That was 2 months ago. I still have not received a refund and do not recommend the Hyatt nor the Playa Collection.

Beautiful surroundings and a relaxing atmosphere make this a pleasant place to stay. The staff were overall very kind, welcoming, and attentive, and the service was consistently good throughout our visit. The property itself, however, feels outdated and could benefit from renovations and modernization in several areas. Food quality was inconsistent during our stay — some meals were enjoyable and well prepared, while others felt average and lacking in freshness or flavor. Despite these issues, the friendliness of the staff and the beauty of the surroundings helped create a better experience. With improvements to the facilities and dining consistency, this place could be great.

Stayed for 3 nights, excellent location, beautiful ocean views, great food, recommend a la carte for breakfast and lunch at Blaze - on the ocean; lots of great food options, also Cafe has best coffee options and baked treats. Lots of pool options, including adults only. We booked sunset sail excursion through hotel, was easy to book and arrange; pricing was comparable or cheaper to booking locally. Uber best bet economically for travel in/out of hotel. Hotel room was spacious and very comfortable, clean.

No night life

I highly recommend Hyatt Ziva in PV!! We have been 3 times! My husband and I first went at the end of 2015, we then returned with our 2-year-old and additional family members in 2022, and then just went again in April 2026 with our now 6-year-old and 1-year-old and extended family. We have been very impressed with the changes and upgrades that have been made over the past 10 years, which have enhanced our experience. This year we took full advantage of the Kids club - our son and two nephews (ages 4-6) enjoyed making pizza, sand castle building on the beach, and a special camp night which involved dinner, s'mores, and a movie on the beach. We love the addition of the poolside cabanas, the smoothie/ceviche/crepe bar (Fresco), and the Teppanyaki table at Tamari! The staff are excellent and the daily activities and entertainment are a great addition. We also love the exclusive beach and you can easily switch between the pool and ocean. This is definitely a more active/lively all-inclusive resort so if you are looking for a quiet, adult-only experience, this is probably not what you are looking for.

Had a beautiful week at the Hyatt Ziva. We have had many trips there and they never disappoint. I felt the food has really improved. The service was also excellent. It’s a beautiful spot.

This was our 2nd time to this beautiful property (last time was ~ 15yrs ago when it was a Dreams resort). Good food for an all-inclusive. You can also purchase upgrades for specialty items, which provide better dining options. The room was clean and comfortable. Staff is friendly and helpful. One in particular, José, was beyond a doubt the most extraordinary staff member I have ever encountered. One time when we were eating at Blaze, the sun was bothering my daughter's sunburn, and he graciously stood blocking the sun until duty called him elsewhere! He also impressed us with his wine selections and providing small extras during our dinners there. We will definitely seek him out when we return!
