Kathalee Beach Resort

Great location by the beach. Location : Next to Sunrise beach. Quiet beach with shades. Close to corals / fishes for snorkelling by the beach without the need to travel far. Convenient to few popular eateries. Facilities : Hotel provided snorkeling gears & kids play tools. Sun bed. poof. Food : Their banana pancake is yummy!

Rooms need abit of 'upkeeping'. Generally ok, stayable. The water has a weird taste, so we use purchased mineral water for toothbrushing purpose.

The location was great although it was a bit of a hike to get to walking street. The resort does provide a taxi service which is great! We loved our stay very much, the beach was beautiful and the staff were so lovely and helpful. Would definitely come back

If I had to choose I would say better pillows would be needed

Lovely location but the rooms were very tired and a nasty smell from the bathroom/sewer. The water pressure was very low and one day no pressure at all so no running water. Breakfast was very good, improved from last year. Friendly staff.

Extremely friedly owner lady and her staff. House keeping was effective. View from the room was amazing - you can see sunrise every morning directly from your bed. The beach in the front of the resort was quiet compared to other beaches. It was exellent for swimming and snorkeling. Free kayaks are availeble, don't miss a trip to the near island Koh Kra. Every evening non-stop transfer to walking street between 6 pm - 8 pm. The owner lady provided us a transfer to the harbour ftee of charge when we left which was very kind of her. Breakfast was really good and tasty. You can ask different kind of choises (for example yogurt) from the kitchen.

Room needs a renovation, especially bathroom. Odd smell in the bathroom (sewer pipe?) and in the shower. The were several cockroachs in our room even after poisoning. The location is quite isolated but that''s why the resort is also very quiet.

The staff was really friendly. The hotel had several equipment available for use. This was very appreciated. From life jackets, sand toys for kids, kajaks, …

Most say sunrise beach is the best location, however for us Pattaya beach worked better for swimming for our 4 year old. The hotel is a bit older, people call it overpriced and worn down. But you are on Koh Lipe and beachfront.
