Kathalee Beach Resort

-Manager was responsible -Staffs were accommodating -Small and quiet beach in front of the hotel -Big fridge!

-Wifi connection is not stable for long period of time during night

Just location and free snorkeling gear.

Breakfast same menu everyday but not bad , good variety of fruit, and good pancake (bread is the worst) Bathroom the worst condition, old, dirty and no air vent neither room or bathroom ( warning: don't take a sh*t), water for sink and shower it stinks like sewage same smell outside of your room... can't wash anything as it smelled worse after washing... Beds must be over 20years old with worst condition of mattress I have slept, spring going in to your body, and I am slim, low weight... Mosquito big problem due to sewage... Overall very dirty island Kho Lipe... Sadly, we pay Europe hotel price per night and you get very very poor quality accomodation...180$ per night is not cheap... warning, rooms sold as sea view when they are not....crooked people....sadly these people don't think on renovation and that is not hospitality but greed...( resort quality, that's what we pay for, not fake smiles)

Sea view room in Koh Lipe, the most beautiful island of Thailand! Very good value for the price as this island is quite expensive. The staff is so lovely, always ready to help. We enjoyed the free sunbeds on the beach and the breakfast was also good. The manager also arranged our transfer to the pier, free of charge. Thank you for everything!

The resort is in an epic location at the end of Sunrise beach. It is right in front of a large rock, with it's kinda private cove, which makes it arguably the best spot of the beach or even the island. This is not an overstatement. From our Deluxe Sea View room (#29) we had an epic view of that alcove and the rock, and the marvelous water colour, and even the sunrise right there. All the front wall is a glass door, so you just bathe in the view. Just epic, it was the best of the place for us. The breakfast is generous and there's always something to like. The staff is also super helpful, and unlike most other places, all their offerings are actually cheaper than what you'll find around anywhere in town. We got the snorkel tours there, and also the boat transfer to Lanta. We had asked around in town, and they were the only ones who beat both prices. So it's a super win, plus you're collected from the hotel. Also great to have towels, snorkel equipment, kayak, and beach toys available for free to use. Really no complaint about the resort.

Being on the tip of the islands makes it furthest away from where you're dropped by the boat, so a 50 baht pp (fixed everywhere) tuktuk is recommended to take you to the resort. Also a bit annoying when you want to move around the island, since walking takes a while. Though mitigated by their nice free taxi offering every evening at 6pm to take you to the center (walking street) and back at 8pm. Wifi wasn't amazing, and sometimes it was noticeably slow to use. And the room price was expensive compared to others, but well, it was our choice this time and it was well worth it for us. We loved the place.

Free Kayak, Free Snorkel-Gear, Free Towels There's a tiny island in front that is nice to explore by Kayak. Amazing Staff and Location. Has something like a private beach. Breakfast was simple and good. 8 Minutes walk to the "city" center. ;)

A little bit more water pressure in the shower would be nice.
