Kathalee Beach Resort

The location of this resort is a bit remote with a few hills you need to climb to get there, but this is also a benefit as there are no passers-by, only guests of nearby resorts. There is an amazing beach right next to the reception, there are free sunbeds and binbags you can use to sunbathe or just chill. Because of the remote location, the resort offers free transport to town centre in the evening and a drop off service when you leave which is very nice. The room had a really nice view. There was decent amount of space to put your things and a pretty spacious bathroom.

It was quite a basic room but it was also reasonably priced so you get what you pay for. It was perfectly fine and didn't lack anything, but the room was quite outdated and could benefit a little refresh.

The rooms are old, the bathroom is very old. Everything needs a big rebuilt and decoration. The road to the hotel is very steep so you have to walk over the beach to get there. The beda on the beach are old and not enough for all the guests do we didnt lay there. We walked further on sunrise beach and found a spot there.

Perfect location, small, intimate, paradise like beach 2 meters from hotel terrace, staff is extremely kind and welcoming. Beautiful place, canmot wait to go back.

The tap water had a funny smell, most likely because it is filtered or maybe rain water, not sure. Can live with that.

We loved the staff, they were all just wonderful. The location is very good, by the beach, there are barely any longtail boats. Hotel provides toys for kids, snorkels, kayaks, etc. The breakfast is very good. There is no restaurant in the hotel for other meals, but there are other good options on the Sunrise beach.

Perhaps the rooms for that price were too small and outdated. For example, the bathroom was in need of maintenance.

Good location, free shuttle to Walking Street.

Room with spartan and not so clean bathroom, run down fittings. Definitely not good value for money because it was even quite costly and the price in thai baht ended up even higher than that indicated in euro by Booking.com.

Super friendly team running the hotel, personal approach, superb views, easy access to everything but far enough away from the main Street to be quiet. Lovely room.
