Amazing stay at Kitelantis - friendly and super nice staff, spacious bungalows, delicious food and good kitesurfing on the spot across the lagoon. Jessy also organised trips around Sri Lanka - overall an amazing experience and one to repeat!

Staff is very helpful, your room is cleaned whenever you want. Nice pool and resort. Pretty comfy rooms.

Road to the hotel is a bit long and bumpy, the resort is far away from the city. Breakfasts were "on budget" (not much choice) but at the end of our stay they're a bit improved :) To get to kitesurfing spot you must take a boat.

The location is beautiful in front of the lagoon. Its clean, very relaxed atmosphere and the boatservice from the hotel to the kitebeach is very convenient. Jesse and his hotel staff are very friendly, hard working and always ready to assist.

The staff are the best! Specially the manager Jessie, so nice to talk to and helped us with everything we needed. The rest of the staff were also lovely. Location is amazing, if you want a very beach jungle vibe this is the place. The pool bar was probably my favourite. Oh and if you want to go to the beach you go by boat, just a couple of minutes. Almost no tourist around.

Kitelantis is in a beautiful location, surrounded by palm trees and birds. The views over the lagoon and the pool area are very pretty. The rooms are great and the dinner is generally very good.

Kitelantis feels a bit disorganised. To get to the kite spot you cross the lagoon by boat. This is only possible at the fixed times of 10:00, 13:00 and 15:00. In winter the wind usually picks up at some point during the day. The other kite resorts in Kalpitiya go to the spot when the wind picks up. At Kitelantis you have to decide whether to go at 10:00 even if there's no wind, and wait at the beach, or wait unitil 13:00 when the wind could have started at 11:00. Kitelantis also doesn't offer lunch at the spot (unlike the other resorts). So it's easiest to sort your own lunch when staying there. Most of the staff don't have great English, and nothing was expained to me, so it took me a while to understand the system.
