Portes Beach Hotel

Stayed second time ,in portes beach hotel.It was good as first time,the food is amazing,the service is good.Its only pillows it's hard,but in most hotels is same.Only minus not a lot to do in evening time, entertainment it's poor, mostly concentrating to kids also missed greek theme programs.Anyway looking forward to come back.

There was a awesome week in this Hotel with a tasty food, nice pools and beach. We spent great time with Animation Team with lot of activities for whole Family members.

We’ve just returned from a week’s stay as a group of 9 (6 adults and 3 children across 3 rooms). While we enjoyed our time in Halkidiki and loved the beach at the bottom of the hotel, the hotel itself unfortunately didn’t meet our expectations. We arrived late at night and quickly discovered the air conditioning in the room wasn’t working. The receptionist reluctantly moved us after we complained, but the new room had a leak from another broken air conditioning unit and there was water all over the floor. There was also no proper bed for our daughter in the new room, just a pull out chair. We were handed sheets to make up the “bed” ourselves and told that no other rooms were available, so we had no choice but to make do. To be fair, the leak was fixed the following day and wine and fruit was left as an apology, but it was a less than ideal start to the holiday. Housekeeping was really disappointing. One night our daughter was sick; we informed reception and were given fresh sheets so we could change the bed, but the next day the blanket with sick stains was simply put back on the bed, and the toilet wasn’t cleaned. This was really unhygienic. The pool area needs some serious attention and is really quite dangerous. The tiles are so slippery and we saw many people falling over. Both of our children cut all of their fingers after spending time in the pool, possibly from rough edges or chemicals in the water. We had to ask the barman for plasters. The location of the hotel is right on a busy dual carriageway with nothing in walking distance. The entertainment was very underwhelming meaning there was little to do in the evenings. Although not the hotel’s fault a quick warning for future guests - the mosquitos can be relentless. My husband counted 47 bites, and one evening we couldn’t sit outside because they were so bad. We used repellent but it was useless! Halkidiki is beautiful, and we’d return to the area, but unfortunately not to this hotel.

We loved the hotel. It was beautiful and relaxing. The food was overall good, the beach was nice. Coffee was very good. Staff was super nice and helpful. Lovely resort cats.

Our bed was too jumpy. When someone turns the other person can feel it. :( luckily we had a third bed in the room, which saved the day. Not many vegetarian options for dinner, this could be improved.

Only good thing about this hotel was the staff, which was in general very helpful. We were a group of 12 people, 8 adults and 4 kids. 1 kid and 2 adults got food poisoning. 1 kid got something from the hotel pool and was vomiting two days. In our 8 night's stay, the ladies from the cleaning never clean the bathroom, each day there were only cleaning the floor, no cleaning of the toilet at all. Food choice was poor, we had breakfast and dinner paid. The beach is really small in front of the hotel and it was very difficult to find available sun beds.

Great experience and beautiful memories! Rooms are clean and there is enough space, food is delicious and animation team is great. My kids were so excited about the programme and mini disco/mini club was amazing. Dancers are incredible and have good interaction with kids during the dance and other activitities. Amazing energy and warmth!

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The entire property is exceptionally clean, and our room was spacious with excellent air conditioning, which made our stay very comfortable. The sandy beach is beautiful, and the sea is calm, especially in the mornings – perfect for families with small children. Our daughters, aged 5 and 7, had an amazing time swimming and playing by the water. We really appreciated the dining concept – a buffet-style restaurant for breakfast and dinner, and a charming tavern for lunch. Every dish we tried was delicious and felt like a specialty; we were truly impressed with the food quality. The kids' club also exceeded our expectations, offering creative and engaging activities that our girls absolutely loved. All in all, we had a fantastic experience and would gladly return to this hotel in the future.

We’ve stayed at this hotel five times and we’ll definitely be coming back. We love everything — starting with the beach, the clean and well-maintained garden, the delicious and varied food, and the tidy rooms. The staff is excellent. Wonderful holidays at Portes Beach.

Really good massage from stella felt so good and relaxed and just booked my next one for before I leave. Really friendly and made me feel comfortable
