Wave Resort - Ultra All Inclusive

Current staying at this hotel to till the 18th may . This is our second stay at this hotel and the food and service from 99% of the staff has been excellent . It has even improved from last year . Unfortunately I have had to write this review to make the management aware of the totally unacceptable behaviour from the 2 local bar staff members towards the Asian staff members tonight 12th May . One of the local staff members eating the fruit for garnish behind the bar and picking his nose in front of guests is not acceptable . The other staff member with shaved hair and a pony tail being totally disrespectful, confrontational and rude/ aggressive toward his staff members is totally unacceptable . It is clear from 12 months ago that there is more asian staff members in your team and to be honest all have been 100% professional and have made our stay so far more enjoyable than last year .

We recently stayed at the Wave Resort in Bulgaria and overall had a wonderful experience. We upgraded to the Wave Deluxe package and it was worth every penny. Being able to book the à la carte restaurants for breakfast, lunch, and dinner made life so much easier travelling with a baby, instead of navigating the buffet with a pram. Room service was also included, which was perfect whenever our little one was sleeping and we were likely to miss meal times. The food arrived quickly every time too. Janina and the Guest Relations team were absolutely amazing — we genuinely couldn’t fault any of you. Our baby boy especially adored Siya, the lovely barmaid in the main lobby area. He was constantly looking out for her and would smile and giggle every time he saw her. She was fantastic. Rai and Sandi, who served us in the mornings, were also brilliant and helped entertain our little boy so we could actually enjoy our meals too. A huge thank you to the chefs as well — the food was beautiful throughout our stay, and I even tried dishes I’d never heard of before. The only real downside involved our late checkout situation. As I’m still breastfeeding, we had asked earlier in the day about a late checkout due to our evening flight and were told it shouldn’t be a problem, with a fixed price until either 3pm or 6pm. However, when we returned to arrange payment, we were told it was no longer possible due to too many reservations. We then asked if there was somewhere private I could breastfeed my baby, but were directed to the baby changing toilets. Personally, I was not comfortable feeding my baby in a toilet, especially as I had clearly explained the reason we needed the space. Thankfully, Guest Relations stepped in again and kindly offered us the use of a conference room whenever the baby needed feeding. Unfortunately, the room was booked later that evening for a mini disco, so I eventually had to feed my baby in the main lobby under a blanket. I also visited the spa salon for a wash, haircut, and blow dry. The haircut itself was lovely, but unfortunately the blow dry wasn’t great. My hair still felt damp and became very frizzy afterwards, As it was our last day, I held off complainingabout it, but as soon as I left the salon, my hair was tied up. My husband saw me and instantly knew I wasn't happy. Janina from Guest Relations was exceptional throughout our stay. The à la carte restaurant manager was also incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the bar manager was very polite too. However, many of the other managers seemed quite distant — often on their phones, without smiling or acknowledging guests. A smile and simple hello can really go a long way in hospitality. I have stayed in other 5* hotels previously and the managers had made an effort to smile, shake our hands, introduce themselves (I appreciate this can't be done for everyone, which is why I have said a smile goes a long way, or even saying hello in passing). Overall, I would still recommend this hotel and would rate it 4 out of 5 stars. I personally wouldn’t return to the spa, and if possible I’d recommend avoiding a late flight home to avoid the same situation we experienced. Also, if you visit , the hotel offers a free shuttle bus. However, I wouldn’t say the area is particularly pram or wheelchair friendly, as the curbs are much higher than standard UK curbs.

Excellent, especially Alena at the concierge desk was very good. Always friendly and helpful.

Very large and the food was more than perfect!

We came to the resort with two children (3 and 4 years old) and spent an amazing and unforgettable 15 days here. The hotel is new, modernly furnished, clean and shiny. The food was delicious, lunches and dinners were sometimes repetitive, but you could always find something tasty. We really enjoyed the afternoon snacks. Great pizza! The children liked the slides by the pool, which were adequate for their age and looked new and safe. The staff was always cheerful, smiling, very helpful and nice. We were thrilled by the evening ritual with musical and light accompaniment of the fountains, it's a shame that the songs didn't change sometimes, but at least they remind us of our stay. There's nothing much around the hotel, but we didn't mind it with our small children - we always found entertainment in the hotel. The evenings in the hotel were quiet, no discos until late at night. The beach was clean, with dark sand and a gentle entrance to the sea. Overall, we rate the stay very positively, it is definitely one of the best hotels in Bulgaria.

Superb Hotel. Our bad timing. Weather was dreadful but the Hotel was amazing. Would definitely recommend. If travelling here personally avoid any dates after 30th September as a lot of areas close down. The Hotel itself was perfect. Staff great, rooms excellent, spotlessly clean. Bars plentiful and extremely well stocked. Gym,Pools, relax room, Turkish baths, saunas to name a few. The daily fountain shows sublime. Kate in the Concierge was totally professional and very accommodating. Overall despite the lateness of our visit and areas closing we had a great time. Wifi excellent. Al la carte restaurant's recommended too. Food on main hall was great. Would I return? 100%

My 15-year-old and I have just returned from a week at Wave Resort, and even though it was out of tourist season, we had an absolutely fantastic stay. The hotel itself is beautiful — clean, tidy, and very welcoming. Our twin room was lovely, with two small double beds, a mini fridge that was restocked daily with drinks, coffee pods & tea replenished, and fresh towels available whenever we needed them. We made great use of both the indoor pools and the outdoor heated pools, all of which were spotless and well maintained. The pool areas were excellent, and the nearby beach was lovely with plenty to explore. I also really enjoyed the wellness facilities — the sauna, steam room, and relaxation room were all included in our stay, and I made full use of them. Having daily access to the gym was another big plus, with towels and drinks always available. The food at both the main restaurant and the bistro was fantastic. There was something delicious to eat at any time of day, which was perfect for a growing teenager! I also loved that there was no rush in the mornings — the bistro served breakfast-style food until midday. Soft drinks, hot drinks, and alcoholic beverages were available all day too, which was a nice touch. As it was off-season, there wasn’t much in the way of evening entertainment, but that suited us perfectly — we came to relax, and that’s exactly what we did. I also want to give special mention to the hotel staff for their kindness and understanding on our last day. I became unwell the evening before we were due to leave, and although check-out was at 11am (with our transfer not until 7:30pm), the hotel kindly allowed us to keep our room until 6pm at no extra charge. I was so grateful for this thoughtful gesture — it made a huge difference as I was really not feeling well. All in all, Wave Resort exceeded our expectations in every way. Beautiful facilities, excellent food, and truly caring staff. We would definitely return.
