Wave Resort - Ultra All Inclusive

We went as a family of 5 for a 9 day holiday 8th to 17th of September with our daughter,son in law and 3 year old granddaughter. We requested adjacent rooms however, the hotel was fairly busy but we were on the same floor facing the pool room 3308 and 3324 . Our granddaughter loved knocking on our door to collect us for dinner so not an issue at all. Booking in was unremarkable compared to other hotels I've been to. No real welcome to the resort , no welcome drink or enthusiasm from the staff accept the guy who popped on our wrist bands who did have a smile for us at least and was jolly . We went off for our lunch and came back at 3 . Was given our towel and door cards with a piece of paper with opening times etc . We went to our respective rooms to drop off our cases . The room was stunning,modern , spacious, clean and welcoming. The view from the spacious balcony beautiful and ideal to witness the sunrise. When you used anything from the mini bar it was replaced when the cleaners were there next or if you asked them before that. Lovely smiley ladies with great towel folding skills . The Aircon did work but wasn't the best but if you turned it off you did notice the difference. The food was fabulous. Varied ,fresh and extensive . We always found a seat within the first couple of minutes of entering the restaurant welcomed by smiling staff at the entrance . The wait staff were efficient and friendly. I loved trying the different fish or cooked meat dishes ,the cheeses and cold meets were huge areas . Cakes and puddings second to none. The speciality evenings were a nice change but there was always something different to try. The snack bar !!!! What can I say it was amazing the range of food extensive not just your normal burger chips pizza but salads, fruit, kebabs rotisserie chicken pasta sweet treats to die for. The pools were fantastic yes the main pool was cold but that was lovely for a dip after sitting on the sunbeds once in I'd say very refreshing. There was the main entertainment pool which was much warmer especially after a dip in the cold pool . The indoor pools were much warmer and the one with the jets bath like . The only one that was i feel in need of a revamp was the one outside the indoor pool the floor was not nice at all and seemed a bit unloved . But the children's sections and slides were fantastic my granddaughter and the rest of the group really enjoyed them . Then there is the sea temperamental and exhilarating in equal measure. Pay attention to the lifeguards and the flags as there can be a strong undercurrent. Don't miss out on the mud spa treatment (free by collecting mud from the pools ) you need to walk 200 meters past the lookout bunker along the ridge and get the black mud cover yourself in it let it dry and wash off in the sea . It leaves your skin feeling soft ,apparently if you do it 5 days or more the minerals help reduce inflammation. However, there is a wonderful spa in the hotel offering lots of treatments and use of the sauna and steam room included .My husband had a massage which was really beneficial to his sore neck , professional and competent. Yes the resort isn't in walking distance to anything but surely you check that out before you book !! For us it was perfect we got the shuttle to pomorie . Which was easy drop off and pick up . Not much to see there but we had a wander around for a few hours and a coffee people watching. Just one thing you have to book the bus. But Nessebar was beautiful we got a taxi early walked shopped and took lots of pictures after lunch we made our way back ready for a dip in the pools . There is regular activities throughout the day and entertainment every evening a kids disco, a show followed by a singer at the beach bar . Bar staff are wonderful make excellent cocktails with good products . Super friendly and a credit to the hotel. This resort is definitely 5 star we had a fabulous time and would recommend it to anyone. One suggestion would be to have all the information about the hotel , bus times,spa details etc in the rooms alongside info about the area .

Please do not believe the review E.H. posted as it's COMPLETELY untrue. Firstly the staff and the service they provide is exceptional,so friendly professional and very helpful, even remembering my drink each night and having a laugh with you. We've stayed in over thirty hotels abroad and not one of them has the standard of food that the wave serves,we got home last night and for the last nine days we've had not only something different to eat but the quality is outstanding,NEVER bland and the staff in the restaurant never stop, from the chefs to the waitresses always cleaning the tables very quickly. The comments on the ice pools are ridiculous,yes the largest pool is fresh but I don't want to swim in bath water when it's 30° in the sunshine, also there are a few more pools which are heated so no complaints from me. Please do not believe the comments on limiting the food at the snack bars 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 again hilarious, BEST SNACK BARS you will EVER find. Special mention to Nikolay for the amazing and very affective massage,top bloke. The room was also the best we've stayed in,so much space and a walk-in wardrobe for the missus. We had some great nights at the beach bar in the evening chilling with a drink and listening to some great music, probably one of the only hotels that we would stay in again.

Allting var underbart, mycket svårt att beskriva med ord. Personalen 💯, mycket rent, väldigt många saker att göra utan att behöva lämna hotellet.

Just coming to end of 10 day stay. Paid for premium room and worth every penny Hotel spotless and buffet food excellent Entertainment could be better and as many said pools too cold Not sure if soft drinks and mixers different in Bulgaria as always seemed flat The house red and white wine very sharp and no option to buy other at bars could be improved Would also of liked to go in the other restaurant’s more than once for 10 day stay without buying full package The indoor pool is good but overrun by kids going wildly unsupervised and causing mayhem. Also note the jacuzzi full of kids which I find strange as most spas specify adults only in spa areas Zero English tv channels so bring a fire stick or cast from your phone
