The St. Regis Goa Resort

We recently stayed at the St. Regis Goa with our 4-year-old, and it was nothing short of awesome. If you are traveling with a young child, this is easily one of the best properties in South Goa. The Highlights: The Food: This was the standout for us. The food is extremely good with an incredible variety. Whether it was the massive breakfast spread at Miri or the specialized options for kids, we never ran out of delicious things to try. Family Friendly: The staff went out of their way to make our little one feel welcome. From the kids' club activities to the dedicated children's pool, there was always something to keep a high-energy toddler occupied. The Property: The resort is sprawling and lush (the lagoons and lily ponds are beautiful), which made for great evening walks. Having direct access to the clean, white sands of Mobor Beach was the icing on the cake.

the water was dirty when I tried to fill the bathtub. I immediately reached out to Shivani, our point of contact, to highlight the problem. Unfortunately, she didn't bother to address the issue and didn't even respond to my concern. In a luxury resort like St. Regis, you expect a high level of responsiveness, especially regarding basic hygiene like clean water. While the culinary team gets a 10/10, the lack of communication from the guest relations side brought my overall experience down to an 8.

Schöne Anlage, ruhig gelegen. Allerdings ist durch die Lagunenlage die Mückenplage sehr hoch und man kann nicht auf dem Balkon sitzen. Das Frühstück ist wunderbar.

Es waren viele Bauarbeiten im Gange, über die wir nicht informiert wurden. Das Benehmen der indischen Gäste dem Personal gegenüber war nur schwer zu ertragen. Großfamilien haben die Angestellte wie Leibeigene behandelt und haben sich völlig despektierlich verhalten. Dafür kann das Hotel nicht, aber uns tat das wirklich gute Petsonal sehr leid.

Our room was spacious, very clean, and exceptionally well designed and decorated. The attention to detail in the interior design reflects the level of comfort and elegance expected from a property of this category. The hotel grounds are truly marvelous — beautifully landscaped, extremely well maintained, and meticulously designed. Walking through the gardens and common areas is a very pleasant experience and contributes greatly to the overall atmosphere of the resort. The staff deserves special recognition: they were dedicated, helpful, respectful, and discreet throughout our stay. A very special remark goes to the Guest Service Team, who were simply amazing. There are truly no words to fully express our gratitude for their professionalism, constant attention to detail, and their genuine care in supporting us throughout our stay. Their immediate action whenever something required attention, as well as their willingness to go the extra mile to improve our experience, made a real difference. They are a credit to the hotel and to the standards associated with Marriott International and the St. Regis Hotels & Resorts brand.

Breakfast and buffet variety Breakfast was overall very good. However, the cheese and cold cuts selection could be improved, as it felt slightly below the level normally expected at a St. Regis property. It is also highly recommended that the buffet labels include short descriptions of the dishes, as many international guests may not be familiar with Indian cuisine. Additionally, it would be beneficial if the buffet included at least two different meat dishes and two fish dishes daily. As St. Regis serves a large number of international guests, it is expected that the offer includes alternatives to the local cuisine. For international guests and children who may not be accustomed to spices, a longer stay could otherwise become repetitive or limited in choice. Since the hotel offers packages that include breakfast and dinner or lunch buffets, it would be important to ensure that alternatives are available as part of the buffet itself, and not only as dishes offered at an extra cost on the à la carte menu. Providing a broader selection within the buffet — beyond pasta and pizza — would better meet the expectations of international guests and families staying for several days. Guest privacy at the beach area During our stay, some hotel guests who appeared to work with social media were filming and creating content in the reserved beach area. They were extremely loud and intrusive while recording videos and live posts, especially during sunset. These recordings often captured images of other guests without their permission, which created discomfort and raised concerns regarding privacy. For a hotel of this level, it would be important to implement clearer guidelines or measures to ensure that guest privacy is respected and protected, particularly in leisure areas such as the beach.
