The Otesaga Resort Hotel

What a beautiful hotel and the view of the lake is amazing. We were there before all the summer things-to-do were available but still one of our favorite trips.

Gorgeous. Well cared for. Great staff that all enjoy working there. Concierge gave excellent thoughts and recommendations.

Our stay at the Otesaga was wonderful from start to finish! From the amazing staff, to the delicious food, we really enjoyed the stay. It was my husband's 40th birthday and every single staff member we encountered, wished him a happy birthday. Really top notch service! The room was clean and spacious with a beautiful view of the frozen lake. We are so happy we booked here!

A great hotel that seems to get better with age. I've stayed here several times during the past 15 years or so… Never disappoints.

The week of Thanksgiving The Otesaga Hotel had some of their rooms at a very rare discount as the hotel was empty this time of year as was the whole town in the week of Thanksgiving. I took advantage of it and booked two nights. It was the best stay I had in a hotel in a long time. First, I got a nice size room on the third floor. While the floor is supposed to be haunted, I saw nothing but friendly guests and the housekeeper. The room was really clean, nicely furnished and very comfortable. It had a view of the mountains and the parking lot but when it gets dark at 4:00pm, who cares. The restaurants here are really good. I ate at the Hawkeye Grill the first night as nothing was open in town. The bartender could not have been nicer and mixed a mean drink. The cheeseburger was fantastic. I ate in the Glitterglass Room at their Breakfast buffet and it was excellent. There were so many choices and so beautifully displayed. The omelets and waffles were delicious. I was the first one down for breakfast and got the best two top right next to the window. The buffet is also reasonably priced and if you are a big eater, it is well worth it. The staff here is also really nice and it was great getting to know them over my stay. Sara at the front desk gave me an interesting historical tour of the hotel, which I recommend and the Concierge, Dawn, could have not been nicer or more informative. She saved me money by buying me tickets for the Baseball Hall of Fame at the hotel. You save $5.00 . It was too bad it was so gloomy my second day or I could have enjoyed the grounds more. There is so much to do around the hotel from the museums and parks and downtown being two blocks away, it kept me busy all the time. I got to see a lot in two days and it was a wonderful break from work. I will be back in the future.

Overall just amazing!

A wonderful hotel in the grand 1930's period style. Very scenic, excellent room. Fine amenities and attentive staff. Make sure you sit out on the verandas.

This place is a dump ! The rooms have not been renovated in 50 years prob…..the bathroom are old and dirty….carpets are worn……and then for 600 a night disgusting !
