Pheasant Lodge

Location was brilliant, property was brilliant, camp site was amazing!

The property wasn’t very clean, there was dust, cobwebs and hair everywhere, a little more care should be taken when cleaning in my opinion!

It was very peaceful and loved sitting on the decking with a coffee in the morning watching the wildlife, plus there was hard standing for our Motorbikes. The lodge was well situated for exploring North and South Wales. Would book again.

Didn't like the walk to the pub, up and down very step hills. Unable to get a taxi into town as the local firm said its not worth the fare.

The location. The view from the decking was breath taking.

Nothing to do with the owner or the site but one of the evenings was spoilt by raucous hooray henrys pratting around in a hot tub at the air bnb Caer Beris manor just over the river.

Good location for motorbiking with lots of twisting roads around the area.

Long walk to town as the shortcut across the wobbly bridge is now closed

Not much really, the only bonus was that the shower worked, and it was hot !!

As a holiday let owner myself, I found the place in a very bad state of repair, it was dirty, the bathroom bin had not been emptied since last owners the coffee in the jar was solid and stuck to the spoon, so was the sugar, and no tea bags,there was serious amount of dirt and debris down the side of the cooker, just really felt dirty, and the single bed had a duvet but no bottom sheet just a dirty matress protector🙈

Fabulous location, peaceful and quiet and so pretty. Actually saw an actual pheasant too!

The code didn't work to access the key safe. This seems to be a regular occurance apparently. Think the code on Booking.com is incorrect.

Lovely cosy lodge, equipped with everything you need. Beds and sofa really comfy, great location, very peaceful and close to the river. We stayed here whilst visiting Hay Festival but ended up leaving the festival early for our last afternoon because our two year old wanted to get back to the ‘caravan house’ and throw stones in the river! A really lovely lodge in a great location. Am sure we’ll be back!
