Historic McDonald Airbnb

I had a great stay. The house is still being renovated. What they have completed is beautiful. I walked to town for dinner and enjoyed the quiet neighborhood. It is definitely a unique stay. I will definitely stay again when I am back in the area.

Total state of disrepair, inside and out

Cleanliness. Might have been the dirtiest place I have ever spent the night and I travel ALOT

Although restorations are still ongoing, things have progressed greatly from the photo in the description. The place has historic 19th century charm and elegance blended with modern comfort. We look forward to returning for a longer stay.

Our time was too short (our fault not theirs).

It was a very interesting house to stay. We were pleasantly surprised. We enjoyed learning the history of the home.

Bed was hard to sleep on. Need to replace mattress!

Location was great.

No one was available on check in. Host wasn’t available on check in. Arrived at check in time host stated they were not expecting me for another hour. 1st room was very small and hot. Didn’t have good ac. The host did upgrade me to a better room with better ac. Unfortunately there was a rodent in the ceiling and I had wasps come into the room. Left a day early due to the wasps.

Week spent one night and very impressed with renovation that has been done so far. We had a lovely suite w/huge bathroom. Thank you Katy!

The bed was comfortable so we slept well, the refigerator/freezer was ice cold, the big screen Roku TV was nice and the free-standing air conditioning unit maintained an acceptable temperature throughout our short stay.

We booked this place as a last resort since every other reasonable option was not available at the time of our visit. I would only suggest this faciity as a last resort since it was very questionable from a standpoint of on-going maintenance and appearance. Parts of the facility appeared to be well maintained and attractive while others, including our room and the downstairs kithchen (which I would definitely would not haved used) needed a lot more attention. A mismatch of furniture was spread around the room, the toilet in the shared bathroom leaked and I would hesitate to use the shower due to its condition. Also, the musty smell everyone mentions is a definite reality. Just was not worth the money; no real value here.

Place was dirty. Floor fell apart on my son’s side of his bed! The board came up and hit his ankle and shin!! Several pieces of board loose. No soap besides a BAR of soap. No shampoo. Nothing to dry your hands after washing. The smell was musty and moldy. Two gentlemen running the house looked as if they were on a drug rehab program. Very sketchy

Friendly, kind staff. The room was spacious and the price was reasonable.
