The house was absolutely gorgeous, and the room was very spacious and homey. All the common areas were very welcoming and decorated beautifully. The house was full of history, and everywhere you turned, you could learn more about the house, the town, and the owner. The staff and the owner were all very helpful and friendly, and the surrounding area was beautiful and quaint as well, with lots of history, shops, restaurants, and parks to explore.

The kitchen was not kept very clean especially considering we were the only guests staying at the time; however, it wasn't too big of an issue for us, as we wanted to try all the restaurants we could and ate out for every meal.

It was very quaint, the bed was very comfortable. Very responsive to the towel request and the common areas were clean. It was a perfect spot to stay in while visiting family nearby.

No fault of theirs, but the room next to us was very loud until 3AM and with creaky floors and sticky doors, a good nights rest was not to be had. the Communal bathroom could have been cleaner, the shower head was so clogged with lime, the water pressure was light and the sink was covered in dried toothpast spit. I am not wanting a new modern bathroom, but evidence it's been cleaned recently.

I loved the history and feel of the place.

Dirty rooms, dirty bathrooms. Never stated on site that it would be a shared bathroom. 3 of 4 pillows had no pillow cases. Floors had many cracks, broken floor boards, or just plain holes in the floor. I cut my foot on the floor. Room temp when we got in was 88, fan didn't help. Portable AC unit helped a tiny bit. Was still 79 degress during the night. Pretty miserable situation. Bathrooms were not clean, ran out of toilet paper, couldn't find more. TV and TV remote never worked at all. No window shades on windows.

The staff was very friendly and helpful, and it was a very good value for the money.

There weren't any hand towels or paper towels in the bathrooms and the third floor really needs A/C.

I booked this room quickly and basically by price. I'm a wedding planner and had a wedding in Veedersberg. I didn't look too closely at the description and where I would be - that is my bad. It was clean and cute. I was up on the third floor and since I was just sleeping there it was ok. After midnight, the noise stopped and I was able to sleep. They let me stay an hour past checkout which I really appreciated.

If there was air conditioning it didn't reach to the 3rd floor. I greatly appreciated the box fan already on when I came in. I did not realize the bathroom wasn't private. Again, no big deal. I could not get the tv to work. But I'm sure if I called, they would have fixed it. As a woman traveling alone, I am very aware of my surroundings. The worst part for me was because there was no air - I had a box fan on constantly. This is an old home, lots of squeaks and noises you aren't used to. There was a lot of loud talking which I couldn't tell if it was "friendly" or not because the fan was so loud. I had a man I didn't know, knock on my door at 10:04 pm to ask if I wanted towels. I will say, that freaked me out a bit. I wasn't opening that door to anyone. The room was simple but comfortable. Had enough plugs for me.
