Oolala - Your lake house in the center of Udaipur

Lovely and Jitu were incredibly welcoming hosts and made us comfortable in their beautiful home. The setting is amazing - right on the lake with incredible views. They provided a delicious breakfast and lots of snacks when we arrived as they were worried we’d be hungry! Manish their housekeeper was very responsive whenever we needed anything.

Beautifully furnished and decorated, lovely general layout, homely, great hosts and staff, boutique, great views and breakfast, close to sights.

This is the perfect place to stay in Udaipur. Lovely and Jitu go out of their way to make you feel at home and give excellent advice and directions for your site seeing. The breakfast they provide each morning is amazing, poha is my new favourite breakfast food! The home is serene and all the locals are so kind and helpful in the neighbourhood. You must also try the street food at the end of the street at chandpole bridge (see picture), you can't tell while it's closed but there is always a big crowd eating there and it is delicious.

Jitu and Lovely were wonderful hosts, always making sure we were content with our stay at their home stay in Udaipur. The White Room has beautiful views of the surrounding river and a nice large bed. The floors are solid marble so the place stays pretty cool at all times, especially in the evening. Fortunately, they did provide sandals to keep our feet off the cold floors and very warm blankets. Their breakfast was wonderful. We opted for the Indian breakfast and were very happy with the quality of the food. Lovely also walked us through great recommendations for what to do in Udaipur. It’s a great place for anyone looking for a well located place with caring hosts.

Location is the best in Udaipur. In 20 years of travels I have never met more welcoming hosts. An absolute pleasure staying with Lovely and Jiu. Don’t look anywhere else and stay at Oolala when in Udaipur

Very close to the mosque and can be quite noisy during their prayers.

Loved the location. Our room had an undisturbed view of the lake. The guest house is incredibly central & yet very quiet. Lovely, Jitu and their caretaker Manish were just fabulous. Fresh tasty breakfast (Indian or continental), laundry service, intro to sights, taxi organization - they did it all with a smile & fully deserve the high rating :)

The stay was extremely comfortable and the staff service was also on point. Apart from that, it has a very unique Indian homely vibe with the lake view.

Nothing as such. Price is little bit higher, however it’s justified if it’s in season.
