Oolala - Your lake house in the center of Udaipur

Love the location and the decor of the property. The host/hostess are very sincere, friendly and make you feel at home once you enter. I really appreciate the kindness of the staff willing to meet and help with my luggage. Breakfast is plentiful (ask for Indian breakfast) and plenty of recommendations by the host/hostess to explore Udaipur. The room is very comfortable, and the bathroom is large. I hope to return to Oolala one day :)

It’s like an Airbnb.Every little thing has been thought of to make your stay so enjoyable.Great breakfast and they even supplied Soy milk for us Vegan types.Our room had a balcony that overlooked the lake and sunsets to remember.Hamish is always there to assist in anyway possible.The hosts Lovely & Jitu were exceptional and well they were a pleasure to meet.

We had a fantastic few days at Oolala where we were warmly greeted by the hosts & made at home. We were given all the information to make the most of our time in Udaipur. The property has beautiful views over the lake along with a rooftop terrace where you can see beautiful views of the sunset.

Great quiet location overlooking the lake, large comfortable room with good WiFi, fans and a/c. Good omelette breakfast from Manis every morning.

If you wish to have a truly Indian experience, book Oolala. We stayed in the green room with a lake view. The room was spotless and having a balcony to enjoy the view in the morning was great. However, what makes Oolala special are hosts Lovely and Jitu and not forgetting Manish.. Lovely and Jitu are friendly, and give us lots of advice in what to see and do in Udaipur as well as help us book train tickets to Jaipur. The location of Oolala is great, a 2 min walk across the bridge to the old town. Highly recommended.

The location is great sitting right on the lake and with a beautiful view from the rooftop. The owner lovely and her husband make you feel right at home and they cook delicious breakfasts. There were so many nice gestures from them throughout the stay you feel like family. The rooms are also spacious and very comfortable. It’s an amazing guest house. Location is also convenient for everywhere you’d want to visit.

Nothing it was perfect.

The whole experience at this accommodation was great. The room was even better than we expected. The views over the lake are very nice and the bed was comfy. Everything was clean and perfectly functional. Internet was good and stable. The hosts and staff are great, helpful and attentive. They made sure we had a great stay at all moments and gave us many tips to enjoy the city and its gems. Breakfast is abundant and fresh, good food for a long day ahead. Udaipur was one of our favs in our trip around Rajasthan.

The path leading to the property is a little steep and if allotted a room in the second floor would be difficult for elderly / handicapped travellers

The location is very central and convenient to walk around. Friendly host and Manish (the helper) was very helpful. The room was light and functional.

Maybe because of the season (August), but this part of the lake was dirty and not as “beautiful” as the other part. Overall we had a nice stay but compare to other places in Rajasthan, we didn’t think it was a great value for money.
