"I wouldn’t recommend, on line drone video very deceiving"

3.0

Location was nice, except for the trash, in and out of the homestay, run down hut they put me in, I relocated to a better empty hut myself because no one was around to ask! I left two days early didn’t even try to get my money back, I was done.

No orientation, Got all my information from the other guest. Food not good at least I didn’t get sick 🙏 the reef in front of the homestay is starting to suffer. Even though they’re building new huts. They’re neglecting the rest of the property too much trash. No up keep, not a good experience.

"Not as good as expected"

7.0

Nick speaks good English and is available on WhatsApp, but sometimes you need to ask several times to get answer. Nick homestay was only one where boats have live jackets - this is Great!  Because it is busy homestay you find easily someone who join you for trip so you can share costs for boat. Trip prices are fair. Local Manta point 15min boat ride trip is recommended, we had nice snorkel with mantas. Another nice trip is to Piaynemo viewpoint with Star lagoon and Rufas island stop - Piaynemo is less than 30min boat ride and visit is recommended during afternoon past 3pm - sun is in ideal position, in morning is just directly against you. Whole trip was 3,5hrs with Fam wall stop. Dinner and lunch is good, sometimes even with noodles (welcomed change to only rice) but every guest complained each morning for poor breakfast quality (just simple cake and not good one without any fruits). There is something like 4pm coffee cake again, what is nice but better will be to have more options and fruits for breakfast. I would not recommend stay at Meos until at least 2 additional WC 3 totally) and 2 showers are built.

Main bad situation is, with his sister hut there is 8 huts =16 peoples men and women for JUST ONE toilet and one shower and from sister hut it is quite far to toilet especially at night. Another problem is, it is always overbooked, mind this because here is chance you end up in hut you did not booked. Means hut without direct access to water and without raised beds. Nick is using his sister hut now as part as his Meos homestay but its not such as Meos huts are. Around Meos huts they clean surrounding but around sister hut it is mess like rubbish bin. Coral (house reef) is ok but not the best one and even you snorkel to north east corner and behind, it is partially destroyed, but yes hundreds maybe thousands fishes. Max 4 nights stay recommended or you get boring soon. Bed was small, mosquito net of bad quality with holes. Attitude of staff is without any word or smile, if you want to talk to someone you have to search for Nick as he is only able to speak to you - please mind this is not common in RA, we had much better experience in every other homestays, even not speaking English they always tried to do the best - what a difference to Meos. We stayed at 4 homestays during our RA trip and this one was the worst. 😑

"Fabulous stay!!!"

10.0

We had a marvellous stay with Nick at Meos Ambower. The bungalows over the water with the house reef right in front is extraordinary. Baby reefsharks visiting, swimming underneath, a beautiful sunrise and sunset right in front is a dream come true. The common room has excellent 360degree view over the beautiful reef. Plenty of food options and always fresh. The staff is super friendly, helpful and always ready to go on an adventure. We went swimming with the mantas, which is just a 10 minute boat ride from the homestay. Cristal clear emerald blue water and playful mantas. We had a fabulous stay and will definitely visit again! Terima Kasih untuk semunya! Ines & Reinert from Belgium

"The original experience is full"

The ecological environment is well protected, with schools of fish and reefs at the door.

Bathrooms and mosquito nets need to be improved, everything else is fine.

"Welcome to paradise"

9.0

Unique and beautiful location in the middle of nowhere, baby sharks under the bungalow, recommended to share trips to Piaynemo, Fam village and Manta point (watch out for dolphins), beer available on a resort island nearby

A second mattress on the sunbeds would be nice, donuts not as expected because of the highly recommended reviews

The reef is located directly in front of the huts and offers good snorkeling opportunities. Even from the accommodation, the reef fish can be clearly seen through the crystal clear water, including small sharks. There is the opportunity to see palm thieves on a tour, the tour starts at the homestay.

I would have liked more amenities, a chair and a shelf for luggage. A hammock on the terrace would have been more comfortable.
