Mountain View House

Extremely helpful manager who has contacted me over WhatsApp right after booking. Booked the buses for us, stayed in touch although he was on holiday. The on site manager was also very nice - ask him about his Vespa!

Given the price was the same as a hostel bunk elsewhere, I was super happy. The room and bathroom were very clean when I arrived, and the owner checked the aircon was working. The owners didn't speak a ton of English but were very smiley and helpful throughout my stay. There were scooters and decent bicycles available to rent. For my fellow vegans, the free breakfast included simple vege noodles. There were also lots of good options at restaurants very close by.

My room and bathroom were not cleaned during my 3 night stay, but that wasn't an issue for me.

Nice room, tidy.

There were strange repetitive noises coming from the ceiling. Hard to describe what was it, something as if a water boiler expands or contracts.

Fabulous location and easy check in at 3 am. Loved that I got a private for the price of a dorm. Room was clean and comfortable. Didn't do any tours from here because it was expensive, also didn't have any food there either because it didn't look like they served any - but these didn't bother me as I rented a scooter and drove around myself and there are ample cafes near by.

The location is perfect.

The hitting didn’t work and there were no warm enough blankets than we were freezing. There was a bad smell in the room and bathroom.
