Mountain View House

Basic but clean, well equipped rooms with good AC and showers. Central but quiet with a lovely view on the balcony. Very accommodating hosts. Breakfast is good. They also serve lunch/dinner - you just need to ask them. Host is very responsive via WhatsApp through translation.

I was a little concerned first after reading some reviews, and especially the answers to those. However, I kept extending my stay, everybody was really nice and always smiling! This was the cheapest place I have stayed at in Vietnam and it was incredible value for that, every day I was given my free breakfast of choice prepared with lots of care. The location can not be beaten, right next to where the bus drops you off, next to all the restaurants and bars, walking distance to Phong nha cave's boats, it is in the very center of the town. The rooms and the whole hotel were clean despite the low price, there was AC, fan and water heater, I have paid less for my private room than I would have for a hostel bed in the neighboring hostel, so the price can not be beaten either, I was on my own but the room was big enough for 4 persons to fit comfortably with 2 king sized bed. I also rented a scooter from them, which was great and convinient for me, they were always very nice, helping me park it or tank it! And they have helped me book my onward bus ticket and allowed me to check out late (9pm) for a small fee.

Lizards, but of course it's right next to the jungle, so it is my own issue that I am scared of them.

Good location, clean room, nice host willing to support us

We booked last minute due to an issue with our transport and the owner replied immediately that we could check in at 4am and stay in the room till 3pm at no extra cost so we could sleep. We then decided to extend in person for 2 more nights as the place is great value for money and the staff were AMAZING. They arranged our onward travel at a discounted price and made us breakfast earlier than the kitchen was open so we could eat before our tour (which we hadn’t booked through them). Decent facilities- Hot shower, clean room, comfortable beds, good A/C. They also offered for us to check out late on the last day so we could stay in the room until our bus arrived. They have many tours, transport options and good food available. The staff are friendly, speak great English and were always available in person and via WhatsApp

Nice rooms everything you need

Clean and comfortable. Ideal location in Phong Nha. Breakfast was decent.

We booked a deluxe room and on arrival there appeared to be some confusion, we therefore ended up in a basic room. This was not too much of an inconvenience but when we walked past one of the deluxe rooms being cleaned we were a little disappointed we didn’t get what we paid for. That being said, the property is clean and the bed was comfortable. Ideal for two nights.
