Ansprechendes Zimmer mit großem Bad, direkt von außen zugänglich. Ruhige Lage. Die Familie betreibt direkt gegenüber ein kleines Restaurant, in dem wir ein sehr gutes, frische zubereitetes Essen genossen haben. Auch der Transfer zur nächsten Etappe wurde vom Host erfolgreich organisiert. Gute Ausgangsposition (fußläufig) für einen Besuch des Lion Rock!

I liked the rooms we had with their own verandah and a garden infront. Short walk to nice restaurants and also to a lake. Nice breakfast and super lovely host.

Wir verbrachten zwei tolle Nächte hier mit super gutem Frühstück. Direkt nebenan hat sie ein tolles Restaurant sehr praktisch. Mit unserem TukTuk waren wir sehr schnell bei den Sehenswürdigkeiten. Wir würden wieder kommen. Vielen Dank!

The host was very kind and sorted me breakfast for Lions Rock and a tuk tuk out of town, and answered my many questions. The location is ideal - you can walk to Lions Rock and all the restaurants in the village. Big bed, coffee making facilities, nice breakfast, lovely setting in well kept gardens.

Would have been better if the shower head fit in the holder so I didn't have to hold it. Maybe this is something that can be fixed? Also I wish I'd shopped around a bit more for the safari into Minneriya. I booked through the homestay and although the guy was very kind, he didn't speak much English so was more just my driver than a guide. He seemed in a hurry to leave the park before I was ready but communication was difficult so not sure what the real situation was. The jeep was very old with one of the seats loose. If I could have gone with other people rather than solo it would have been cheaper and more sociable. It seems everyone takes a private safari so of course there are lots of jeeps in the park.

Nice rooms and good location. Very good value for money.

Habitación cómoda y agradable. Desayuno típico y muy rico. Tienen un pequeño restaurante donde hemos cenado comida típica y muy buena relación calidad precio. Tiene una tienda para alquilar motos cerca y muy bien conectada para taxis y tuktuks.

Freedom Homestay is an absolute gem. My family and I enjoyed the squeaky clean, well appointed rooms, beautiful gardens and the wonderful hospitality of our hosts. They went above and beyond our expectations to make us feel welcome and comfortable by arranging transportation for day trips, delicious meals and even a cooking class. Highly recommended and we hope to return.
