Convenient location, nice staff, beautiful views, clean room. I didn’t have the same problem with noise that other guests note in the comments

A bit run down, but nothing horrible and that’s often how these things go for the affordable price

Fine location for hiking in the area or for taking bus further up the mountain to Alishan recreational park. Host was friendly, offered tea and coffee and tried to help with questions though the communication was difficult since he did not speak any English and I any Chinese. View from the room was beautiful!

No towels. Only cold water in the shower. Very loud talking from the hallway in the evening. No temperature regulation so it was could in the night because the window was leaky.

The bed with mountain view from our room was great. Watching sunset and those mountain range with mist around them from our bedroom is just wonderful. The room is basic but clean. The man staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the areas. He told us all the trails around, and we did have a relaxing time and great walking among the tea plantations. The majestic mountain ranges with mist around them are just amazing

The location of our booked place The tired looking lobby is too heavy with an incense smell for me. The local bus from Chiayi that passed our booked place is limited. The bus dropped us at the bus stop outside the Seven-Eleven shop at Shizhou, which is about a 10-15 minute walk from our booked place. We were tired from the windy ride, not familiar with the place, it was late evening and rained heavily, it would have been welcoming if the operator of the accommodation offered to pick us up from the bus stop, which is less than 3 minutes drive to our rental. Instead, after a few calls to the operators, their answer was no pick-up. That was disappointing, considering the place is so isolated and with limited public transport available. At the same time, we saw another operator picked up their guests from the same Seven-Eleven shop we were in. We wanted to thank the kind and helpful sale lady at the Seven-Eleven at Shizhou. She helped us to contact the receptionist/ operator of our booked place.
