Tianyi Homestay

This homestay is incredible. My friend and I are traveling for 3 months, and the three days we spent at Tianyi has been our favorite part of any stop so far. The family is so welcoming. They included us in karaoke nights at their home, and invited us out to dinner in town with them. The location is walkable to town, which includes two very well stocked convenience stores. But honestly, even though the location is so convenient for hiking and access to Alishan, our favorite part was the time we spent at their home!!! The entire family, and specifically the dad and the son truly made us feel like part of their family. Their pets (the three-legged dog named Okay in particular!) charmed us to our core and we feel genuinely sad to leave. We highly recommend the tea picking experience the homestay offers! It was so interesting and we left with tea that we picked ourselves! This entire stay has been highlight after highlight, and I could not recommend it strongly enough. You must go!

Les hôtes sont adorables, ils nous ont déposées en voiture à plusieurs reprises. L’hébergement est situé dans les plantations de thé et proche de plusieurs arrêts de bus pour Fenqihu et Alishan. A 10 minutes à pieds de Shizhuo pour les restaurants.

Un peu cher mais moins cher qu’à Alishan ... Les serviettes de bain ne sont pas comprises dans le prix

隔音不好，住客在公共空間聊天聽的一清二楚。房間設施簡單，就是一般住家房間，不需要冷氣但連電風扇都沒有提供，被單起毛球了感覺用蠻久了。有早餐但8點才提供，但住客大多要去阿里山森林遊樂區，不止我們這間早於8點就離開住宿，等同沒有早餐

Very welcoming and friendly hosts even though there was a language barrier. Good location although it is a 10 - 15 min uphill walk from main bus stop. Can get to Alishan by bus in 40 mins. You can pay for a tea picking experience and fire fly watching experience. You also get to enjoy their home grown and produced tea with other travellers from all over the world. Located close to some great hiking trails. They have a really sweet dog named OK, that will join you on your morning hikes. They also have 3 friendly cats.

Shower didn’t drain properly.

An exceptionally warm and kind family that owns their tea farm and are active members of their community. The family is also passionate about promoting the Alishan area and all tea farms in the Shizhuo area, not just their own. This is far more of an experience than just a stay. With options to sit down and have their own grown tea and chat with the family, interact with their various pets, roam the premises and paid options to pick and process your own tea and view fireflies (only one month per year and highly recommended). There is so much to do and enjoy while also being able to access various walking paths both short and long. There is even complimentary home cooked breakfast with vegetables grown right on the farm, a very welcome comfort when traveling and constantly eating out. Also walking distance from the main town and a 7/11 which are really impressive considering that you are in a fairly remote town. Their dog "OK" is also the most lovely guide that will take guests on several hour long hikes. Just an incredibly lovely time worth at least a couple nights stay.

Sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Gastgeberin ; sie hat uns zweimal zu einem Restaurant chauffiert und wieder abgeholt. Zimmer zweckmäsdig und relativ einfach, aber zwei grosse Betten (gilt als Vierbettzimmer - ideal für zwei Personen, die gerne etwas Platz haben). Das Guedthouse bietet interessante und lohnenswerte Aktivitäten an (Tee plücken / Glühwürmchen erleben)

Leider ist die unmittelbare Umgebung des Hauses ungepflegt (viele alte Sachen liegen herum)
