Sequoia Forest Retreat

Definitely an experience, it was ok for one night. The owner was very nice and accepted our request for early check in. Before arrival he sends a detailed message about operating the rv. Another plus point: Plenty of clean towels. Electric fire place. Free bottle of water Big enough refrigerator. Hot water in the shower. Tv and WiFi. Enough room for two people and their luggage.

Definitely a one night thing lol We arrived by car after a day hike at sequoia park. The property is remote, although it’s a hour drive from sequoia park, the road is winding and steep without any street light - so arrive before sunset. The property is not properly maintained and it shows. It claims to have a full kitchen - but everything is broken and old. So it’s not an easy or pleasant experience to prepare meals. Even the sponge is old, dirty and torn.. it doesn’t take much to replace a dish sponge. The shower is small but could be manageable if not the horrendous shown curtain, which was gross beyond words….. You can’t flush toilet paper down the toilet, you have to throw it in the bin.. but smell wasn’t an issue surprisingly. The road leading up hill to the rv is steep and paved with gravel so a bit difficult to drive if you have a lower car. The property has a little white “Airbnb” sign at the street - easy to miss, especially if dark out. Download maps previously! There’s not reception up there and bring enough food because there’s absolutely nothing in the area (preferably something already cooked or microwaveable).

This was a perfect quiet retreat!

Sequoia Forest Retreat is only a half an hour from the King's Canyon and Sequioa National Park "Big Stump" park entrance, which was super convenient for my party. The trailer and bedding was clean and quite functional for our needs - we were able to prepare food with the kitchen, and the owner provided a twin air mattress that I found quite comfortable when used on top of the sofa bed. The provided starlink wifi was also tremendously helpful, as the park and trailer are both well outside reliable range for cell data. Ronald (the owner) was friendly and accessible via intercom and email for any questions or issues we encountered. Views from the trailer are stunning, and the drives along the mountain roads are scenic as well. I will certainly be recommending Sequoia Forest Retreat to any friends & family visiting the parks!

The following were only minor inconveniences: 1. The water tap in the trailer is for bathing/cleaning only; my party picked up drinking water in Fresno before driving out and topped our water bottles off at visitor centers in the park. 2. The sign in the bathroom requests not to flush TP; the provided trash can worked fine for us & we had no issues with odor. 3. A bike pump was provided for inflating the air mattress; this worked well, but took a long time to achieve the desired inflation. An electric pump would be a good upgrade.

This was our first time staying in an RV. And it was a good experience. Thanks for the instructions on how to get there, we found the way easily. The location is on a mountain slope with unforgettable scenery, the opportunity to watch the sunrise. A picturesque place in nature. The accommodation is comfortable, the kitchen is equipped with everything you need. Spacious, excellent bed linen, comfortable bed. There is a place for eating, relaxing and a bedroom. The climate control, air conditioning and fans worked well. We really liked everything. We stopped to visit Sequoia Park, which was an hour and a half drive from the location. Thank you

This place was remote with a beautiful view. Everything we needed was there: comfy bed, great wifi, hot water for bathing, etc...It was clean and cute! The owner was very responsive. We would stay again

The drive to get there was terrifying for these Texans. It was obvious that the locals had no problem, so we were very aware that "it was us, not you". We just aren't used to switchbacks and no guardrail. Chalk it up to inexperience and an 11 hour day of driving.

Host was very accommodating and gave clear instructions, great communication, spacious RV with beautiful views, RV filled with everything that was needed (coffee, shampoo, kitchen supplies etc.). Be prepared to navigate lots of windy roads to get to RV.
