The hospitality was amazing from start to finish, Human went out of his way to welcome guests and his mum cooked the delicious meals. The sunrise tour to the floating markets is a brilliant experience. A great place to stay.

Human is an incredible host. His mother is an exceptional cook and his brother Long is so nice and told me of lovely museums to go to. The farmstay is a beautiful location, very clean comfortable with plenty of amenities. Can tho has amazing tours and Human is the best tour guide. Ive never recieved hospitality like this, I'm so very happy!

I should have bought myself stronger mosquito spray. Aside from that everything was perfect

Human is a great host and does a lot to make sure you have a top notch experience.

We came to Can Tho as a stop on a two-week holiday in Vietnam. Mekong Farmstay is a perfect place as a platform for excursions of the Mekong delta. It has a welcoming atmosphere and the owner - Human - is the most caring and nice host you can imagine. We visited flooating market with Human as guide, borrowed bicycles, etc.

This is a beautiful rustic place that made you feel like you were in a tropical jungle, with coconut trees, chipmunks, exotic birds and fantastic hosts! Home cooked food from the grandmother was incredible & Human our lovely host couldn’t do enough for us ! The trip to the floating markets in a boat up the Mekong delta was exceptional and we visited a rice noodle making factory and we actually made the noodles !!! The local market was awesome … thank you Human we will never forget you and your lovely family 😌

Perfect for one night in the delta

We spent a few nights in Can Tho in one of Human's bungalo's, and had a magical experience here. Upon arrival we were seated in the open air dining room and immediately were served cold tea and warm conversation.  After settling in and catching our breath, we were given a tour of the "village" and put our things away in our room.  There are five seperate buildings here.  Each has a bathroom of its own, and although they are not fully enclosed, there is mosquito netting on the bed. Human and his family are a pleasure to spend time with.  We got up early to take a tour of the Cai Rang floating market.  At 630 am, we met Human in the dining room, hopped on the bicycles he provided, and rode about twenty minutes through the winding jungle streets to the river.  From there, we got on a boat, checked out the floating market, walked around another market in town (not floating), and then visited a rice noodle factory for a tour, which included a chance to get involved and perform part of the creative act ourselves!  Upon our return we relaxed for a while before dinner, which was prepared by Human's mother - a great cook!  We dined with some other guests and had a great time chatting with them.  We were also lucky enough to meet Human's son Bill,  who is about 15 I believe - a student, and very charming, pleasant young man.  I can't remember his proper name,  but his nickname Bill is in honor of Bill Clinton, who lifted the embargo against Vietnam in 1994.  How do I know that?  Because Human is a great storyteller and guide.  The buildings were designed and raised by Human his brother, who is an engineer who built the nearby Children's Hospital, which has five hundred beds and I believe is a point of pride on Human's part.

Human is such a great host. Super friendly and attentive, we loved the fact we could do the floating market from the property with Human as our tour guide. He gave us detailed jnfo about the area and it was great learning from someone so local. We also loved the food!! His mother is a great cook and we liked eating with the other guests in evening.

There are cockerels nearby that wake up early! So just be ready for that

10 out of 10! Wow, the best stay. I have no idea how lonely planet havent found Human, and his family yet. If you want a truly authentic trip come and meet them! Even before we arrived Human went out of his way to help us on our trip. He organised a car to pick us up from rach gia ferry port (as we didnt have time for public transport and he did all this organising out of kindness). We had a beautiful welcome and Human made us so relaxed and comfortable straight away and his english is amazing and he wants to learn all our little sayings as well which is just wonderful to be around his enthusiasm. He also has an amazing sense of humour and so does his brother mr long. We walked around the village and met some students who asked us to do their english homework and Human took us on a private market tour in am so you really dont need to book with anyone else at all. He also has some other tour options so you can be busy all the time or use the bikes to cycle around. All food is included which is just magical and stress free. And when i told human we loved a certain food his mum gave us the most unforgetable dinner. The garden is lovely as are the huts which are very cooling compared to hotels and aircon. Ask Human about how him and his brother, who is a big time building engineer, spent years building the huts and their home. We had best nights sleep, very comfortable beds with fan and mosi nets. There endless free water in the room. Lots of little touches to help your stay. We want to thank Human, ma mere, and mr long for looking after us and educating us on all things vietamese. We will never forget you all and we will be back one day. Thank you.
