Plastic Bottles House

David is a very open, communicative and friendly host. His cozy, clean little Plastic Bottle houses are located in his lovely little garden visited by umpteen beautiful bird species per day, and David knows them all! We went on our Mabamba Swamp tour with him, which was very convenient. If required and if his schedule permits, David prepares tasty meals for his guests himself.

If you are a light sleeper, be sure to bring earplugs as flights departing from Entebbe International fly directly overhead.

We had such a great Time. Third Time in Uganda and my daughter and i discovered platic Bottles houses and David, his owner. We enjoyed spending Time in this wonderful place. David is a Passionate with birds and his place is made for them, very eco friendly. We learned a lot and went on two trip with David. We will be back!

Extremely friendly host who also organizes trips in the area. The food is delicious.

It was really good. David was informative and very helpful. I got the pleasure of him showing me around the botanical gardens, pointing out the birds and the flower and fauna. He also runs tours to the swamp to see the shoehorn bird(s). David Explained how weapons were/used to keep predators at bay. I do like the eco feel of the place, plastic bottles to make accommodation! Price is exceptional. Every who has been put a pin in the map show where they live.

There wasn't anything I didn't like but it will good when the new accommodation is finished as I understand they will have their own bathroom.

I loved everything about this place: beautiful, calm, amazing garden, the surroundings (countryside to wander around), getting to this place from Entebbe town by a little wooden boat, the fact that there is not many tourists.....and of course David !! Amazing host, friendly, with many interesting insights on Uganda and a very good cook ! I could have not imagined a better way to start my holidays!! Thank you David 😊

I wish I could stay longer !

The place was beautiful and peaceful. They owner is very friendly always here to help. He even cooked for us. The concept of recycling everything is also a plus point Taking the ferry to go to town was charming

We didn’t know before coming that you need to take a ferry to come to the hotel, it was a bit stressful, but the owner did his best to make our arrival smoother

I am honored to be the first Chinese guest of the Plastic Bottle Hotel. The owner is an excellent bird photographer. The house is filled with photos of various birds taken by the owner. The house is a 15-minute walk from the pier and a little over 10 kilometers away by taxi to see the shoebill. It is very convenient. The food cooked by the owner is also delicious. In short, everything is worth it!
