Plastic Bottles House

David is a great host. He is very friendly and willing to help you with whatever you may need. He recommended things to do around the property and in Uganda in general and even helped me look for flights! His love for birds is contagious, and I enjoyed learning about the resident birds from him! The rooms are comfortable, cozy, and very clean. The garden is beautiful and has many fruit trees; I got to eat mangoes when I was there. I extended my stay, and I cannot wait to go back. Thanks a lot, David!

Nice quiet spot close to some small shops and local food, nice garden with lots of trees and birds - a great place to relax. Near the ferry to entebbe and short drive/boda ride to mabamba swamp for shoebill viewing. David, the host, is awesome. He makes some of the best included breakfasts I've had, and is a huge bird enthusiast. We did a shoebill and birding tour of mabamba swamp with him, it was extra fun because he's very knowledgeable and excited about birding himself. Also very helpful giving us transportation tips for public transit, etc. He's just finished construction on some self-contained rooms - they look great too!

Nothing because I didn’t get there

I looked for the place for over 2 hours to find out after calling them a few times and someone finally answered and said, we are supposed to travel with water to get there and at the moment there is no one.

I absolutely loved staying at Plastic Bottles House. David is a fantastic host. He is friendly, fun, intelligent and interesting and so knowledgeable about the area and things to do. He is also a big traveller himself so gave us lots of good advice about travelling the rest of Uganda. Also the accommodation is very reasonably priced, the beds are very comfortable and the rooms are so unique, constructed using plastic bottles! Also David cooked us the most delicious breakfasts...

Nothing! The accommodation requires you to take a local ferry across the bay but this was free and doesn't take very long. It was also a very fun experience!

The location is peaceful,quiet and calm with only planes landing at the airport. It wasn't a bother to me,I loved them. From Entebbe town you can take a bodaboda to ferry it is closer. Ferry crossing is free you just register and you are good to go. There are beaches around and one can enjoy the views of Lake Victoria as the sun sets. I also joined the birdwatching team and that was a beautiful treat for me. . The wifi works perfectly,even when power goes off, there's solar so not to worry about anything and book already. I was served huge portions of food by David. He will feed you🤣🤣🤣. He will also answer all your questions about birds. Highly recommend

The rooms are very hot during the day, so almost impossible to stay indoor before 1900, Unless you are an enthusiastic bird-watcher, its located so far away that neither food delivery or boda will work
