Rochester's Place

The hosting family is very nice always willing to help. The kitchen is full stocked with all you need to make breakfast or having snacks. That is very nice of them. Also bathroom and room were very clean and place very quiet.

It is about 45 min by metro from Manhattan so it is not that convenient if you want to rest along the day, although it is well connected by metro with a station 5 min away. The area is not nice looking but it is very safe.

We loved the room and the facilities at the property. Location was great, close to the subway station that takes you straight to Manhattan.

The only very minor thing was the Wi-Fi. It was a little bit patchy, and sometimes didn't work at all. Not a major issue, as we were out most of the day exploring.

The owner was really friendly and available for any needed. People are allowed to use the whole kitchen and the fridge was always full of food and water . Very close to the metro station.

Our room was very tiny.

Very friendly host! Good price/quality. Location near subway station. Coffee, muffins, eggs, snacks available.

There is a lot of noise from the street (train and cars).

Erroll, the property's owner, was extremely helpul and kind with us. He really made us feel as if we were at home. He kept the appartment clean everyday, and put some complimentary provisions in the fridge and kitchen cupboards for us and the other persons sharing the appartment with us. Our first room was kinda small but since the other guests left, we asked to be changed and as the other rooms were available he accepted our request. In any case, the rooms were quiet and we could have a nice stay in this property. The neighborhood is ok, it is pretty close from the station Ralph Avenue (subway line C), otherwise it was also close to Astoria Station (12 min walk) which also has the line A (which is faster to go to Manhattan).

The hosts are very friendly and welcoming. It was clean. The kitchen/common room looks a bit randomly put together but adds to the charme. The subway is in close walking distance. Great, affordable price.

I was cold at night but couldn't find an extra blanket. Neighbourhood could be cleaner (has nothing to do with the hosts of course).

Since I was unable to make my trip, I can say nothing about the facilities.

Nonetheless, I had some very disappointing contact with the owner. Without getting into details, I would say this person is less than trustworthy.

Very clean accommodation. The host was very nice and he left some food and fresh wayer for free. The cleaning is done every day and the kitchen is very well equiped. We really enjoyed our stay!
