Easy access to subway n close to Manhattan

I can't say any good thing about the stay.

First of all, we aligned check in time with the hosts. Despite that they were late by 30mins which meant we were standing outside on the road with our luggage waiting for them. Secondly, the 'suite' we had booked for 4 people was actually a tiny room for only one person. The pictures don't show the complete room. When asked how we would fit everybody in, they brought 2 mattresses to sleep on the floor. There wasn't enough space for 2 mattresses on the floor. The bedding was provided for only 1 person. When we called to ask for bedding, they said it would take another hour before they could arrange bedding for the 4 people they already knew were going to stay in the room. There was no WiFi. When we asked about it, the lady responded with "There's no WiFi but I hope it works out for you." The hosts told us to find another place at 12am instead of sorting out the bedding problem. The bathroom had a long line and we had to wait an hour to be able to use it. We called booking.com to discuss the issues with this property. The hosts responded to booking.com staff with lies such as 'they gave us water and helped us'. Not to mention they called us liars. I mean making mistakes is one thing but not owning up to one's mistakes and taking it out on your guests in terms of bad behaviour is a whole another story. Good luck to you if you decide to stay at this property and have to deal with these people who lack the basic human decency to own up to their mistakes.

It was just what I needed for one night. The reception by the host was nice. Gave me a complete overview of the place and showed me around. The room I had was very comfortable. Only issue I had was trying connect to the Wi-Fi, I was not able to. My room had an A/C unit. If you're looking for a quite, affordable place in Brooklyn, this is it.

Rochester’s place is exceptional for those who want to stay in New York without the prices of Manhattan. The location is perfect, there is a subway station just 5 minutes away and the neighbourhood is safe. The family who runs it is so charming. I definitely recommend the place.

- We were provided with food and drinks for free, which we really appreciated. - The host was very nice, he waited for us till 1am without any problem. - Everything was clean.

The room was very small, but it was no surprise according to the price.

We were really happy during our stay at this property. Quite comfortable and clean facilities. The host was very friendly and made us feel like being at home. There was also free coffee and breakfast items available.

The only con was the speed of the Internet and it seemed like it lost signal in our room sometimes. Not a major issue as you could get good signal from the kitchen, but maybe installing a Wi-Fi repeater upstairs would be recommended.

We stayed a week or so there and it was just PERFECT ! In the apartment there are three rooms to rent with a common space. The apartment is clean and the hosts are a peach!: Really attentive,friendly and soooo welcoming. The kitchen is well-equipped and the fridges are full for a good breakfast,lunch or dinner! They also let the guests use toiletries,which is really appreciated when u travel light! The location is just perfect: within a stone throw from C or A train and the neighborhood is safe even if at first sight you could be sceptical- we went back late at night many times and never had any issues and felt safe all the way- we highly recommend staying there,it's worth it!
