Rock View Home Stay

I had a wonderful stay! The room was spacious, very comfortable, and equipped with everything I needed. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and incredibly generous — the perfect start to the day. The family is truly lovely, so kind, helpful, and attentive, which made me feel right at home. The house is set in a peaceful and relaxing environment, yet still close to many beautiful places to visit. And one of the highlights: watching monkeys from the balcony — such a magical experience! 🐒✨

Le logement se trouve à proximité directe à pied (5 min) des caves de Dambulla. La chambre est lumineuse, propre. L'équipe est adorable et aux petits soins. Le petit déjeuner servi est fabuleux, en large portion !

We stayed one night at Rock View Homestay and it was a wonderful experience. The location is perfect to visit the Dambulla Caves, just a short distance away. The hosts are a warm and welcoming family who immediately made us feel at home. They truly went above and beyond, even helping my boyfriend arrange a surprise for my birthday—something that exceeded all expectations and made our stay extra special. If you’re looking for a place with a great location, comfortable stay, and hosts who genuinely care about their guests, we can highly recommend Rock View Homestay. We've stayed in many nice places in Sri Lanka but this is the one that made us truly feel at home. Thank you for the most special birthday :)

Everything was perfect

Great location, nice room, good breakfast & amazing hosts.

Krásné ubytování nedaleko Cave Temple (5 minut chůze). Personál byl milý a vždy ochotný nám s čímkoliv pomoci. Snídaně byly bohaté. Ubytování jsme si prodloužili ještě o jednu noc. Velmi doporučuji!

宿泊の当日に予約したが、街まで迎えに来てくれ、帰りもバス停まで送ってくれた。オーナーも大変良い方で最後に迷惑をかけたが大丈夫と言っていただいた。また機会があれば是非宿泊したい。

Lo staff era incredibilmente accogliente, la struttura è molto vicina al tempio, ci si può arrivare a piedi. Camera molto pulita e rifornita di asciugamani, saponi e thè. Aria condizionata perfettamente funzionante. La proprietaria è molto disponibile e cucina in maniera deliziosa! Ottimo appoggio per visitare la zona.

This homestay is amazing! It looks just like the photos in Booking. It is clean, cozy and peaceful. The hosts are wonderful people that really made us feel as part of their family. Their breakfasts and dinners were also super tasty. The AC works perfectly. There is a balcony where you can sit and relax. The homestay is 10 min away from the Dambulla Cave Temple (walking distance). Overall, perfect place to relax, visit the area and enjoy the hosts company!!

This is not related to the homestay, but be careful with prices in this area. Sometimes they offer you a service (a tour, a bus ticket, etc.) for a price and then try to change it midway. Happened to us a few times. Again, this is not related to the homestay! Just some advice for fellow travellers :)
