super nice hosts, open for a chat, helped us out, and even quickly drove us to the cave temple entrance because we were late. Room was comfortable, breakfast was tasty. Parking was secure behind a closed gate.

The owner was very friendly and organized my trips for a reasonable price. The food is delicious. 2km from city center but no need to go there as you get everything here. 5 minutes walk to the cave temple.

The family is very hospitality. The lady is very nice, she gave me valuable for me gifts. The place is very clean, well maintained, delicious food and close to the cave temple.

We had a fantastic stay at Rock View in Dambulla, thanks to the warm hospitality of Upul and his wife. They made us feel like part of their family from the moment we arrived. Upul kindly picked us up from the airport and drove us around over the next few days at very fair prices. Along the way, he shared insightful tips and fascinating stories about the country and its people. The breakfast was varied, featuring local specialties, and both breakfast and dinner were freshly prepared by Upul’s wife. Every meal was absolutely delicious! The price-performance ratio for the room was unbeatable. Additionally, the stunning Dambulla Cave Temple is within walking distance, which was very convenient for exploring the area. We highly recommend Rock View to anyone visiting Dambulla. 10/10!

Absolutely Fabulous Stay! Liked · This was definitely the best property I could have chosen in my whole trip across Sri Lanka. Not only is this walking distance from the Rock Temple, but is also very close from the main highway, so easy to find. The hospitality is out of this world. Things to highlight: 1. The host proactively reached out for my arrival time and even though it was very late, he stayed up and ensured we had everything comfortably (inc. an extra blanket) before he left. He also helped us with the luggage as the rooms were on the 1st floor. 2. The hospitality is out of this world, the host's wife comes in the morning with freshly prepared breakfast and it was OUT OF THIS WORLD - all possible Sri Lankan dishes including Hoppers, curry, Sambol. 3. The view from the sitting area is superb!!! Trees all around 4. Comfortable and spacious rooms, with all types of basic things available like hair dryer, scissors, etc. 5. Air conditioner and hot water both are available 6. Clean washrooms and comfy beds 7. Private parking inside the property Absolutely loved this property- recommend everyone to stay here!!!!

Few tiny insects in the washroom but nothing to worry about.

It was the cleanest place I have ever seen in Sri Lanka.Family was very friendly with every guests.Even their dinners are super hygienic and so delicious.

- extremely nice and helpful family - good food - good location (close to rock temple, which I personally thought to be way too touristic) - had no mosquitos in room (which lacks mosquito net, though) - I recommend doing Pidurangala rock over Sigiriya

Extremely nice homestay, at 5 minutes (walking) from the entrance to the caves. The owners are extremely kind: whenever they could, they offered me a free time to the bus station (I used Dambulla as the base for daytrips to Polonnaruwa and Anuradhapura, both are at 1,5-2 hours by bus). The lady cooks delicious dinners, and was kind enough to cook me a special, non spicy curry. Some 1,5 kilometers away from Dambulla center. Overally, an exceptional homestay.

Nothing...maybe just that there are no nets in the windows and there are (not many) mosquitos.

The property was super clean, comfortable and in a brilliant location for visiting the Dambulla Cave Temples - walking distance from the property. Upul and his family were wonderful hosts and helped us plan our short time in Dambulla visiting the Cave Temples, Rose Quartz Mountain and other sites. A fantastic Sri Lankan breakfast which introduced us to lots of traditional dishes - the best food we have had in Sri Lanka so far. Upul helped us with transfers from Colombo Airport and also drove us via some key sights to Sigiriya. Thank you for getting our Sri Lanka adventures off to a brilliant start!
