Casa De Frank

The location is awesome is you want to visit Joshua Tree National park. The parking is very easy and safe. The owner was very nice and welcoming. The common areas are well equipped.

The cleaning of the house was not amazing. They advised it is a pet friendly property, but the living room (sofas) had dog hairs everywhere. For the ones who are allergic to dogs… it’s not very pleasant. The bed was not very confortable, and it’s very noisy, you cannot turn while sleeping without waking up your partner/friend.

The property manager was always in the house and would stay in the living room the whole day. When I was booking on booking.com in the description it was said that the whole house would be to us. Upon arriving we realized the other rooms in the house were being rented out on other booking websites.

I appreciated the location. It was just a couple blocks from the Visitors Center for Joshua Tree National Park. Roy, the manager, was very helpful and welcoming. The room I rented was clean and comfortable. I would return to Casa de Frank if I come back to Joshua Tree.

There was nothing I did not like. The particular room I rented had the bath in hall; not an issue for me as it was always clean and free when I wanted it. If it is an issue for the person reading this review, then consider the option with the private bath.

Location

We didn’t know the bathroom would be shared, nor that a dog would greet us. The toilet is very loud when the tank is filling, and it was on the other side of one of our bedroom walls

Good kitchen facilities, good location to Joshua Tree National Park.

Property was not very clean, there were stains on the bedspread and sheets were dirty. Bed was super uncomfortable. Bathroom was not clean and the toilet makes an incredibly loud noise after you flush which is particularly loud in the queen room. All of the doors in the property are frosted glass and the bathroom looks directly into the kitchen and living space- not a comfortable bathroom experience especially when sharing the property with strangers. Be aware other guests may have pets and these may not be toilet trained.
