Sand Dollar House Hiriketiya

I would highly recommend this beautiful home stay. It’s a brilliant mix of a homestay and your own private apartment with an outside covered garden and kitchen, bathroom and bedroom. The breakfast was absolutely delicious in the mornings. The host was so friendly and accommodating and made me feel so special on my birthday. They even Shared their children’s toys with my two year-old which he absolutely loved and enjoyed playing with their children. we would definitely stay again when we return to Sri Lanka in a few years time.

The owner and family were very welcoming and lovely people. Had great chats with the owner. The garden is beautiful with lovely areas to chill out and an outside shower. Breakfast was great and timings worked around us.

There isn’t anything to not like, there are some ants however this cannot be helped with the location.

It was a privilege to stay at Sand Dollar House and have the opportunity to meet Roshani and her children. The house is in a peaceful location away from the hustle and bustle but only a short walk to restaurants and the beach. We really enjoyed walking over to Dalawalla beach, which is also nearby. Roshani was very caring and made sure we had everything we needed. The bed is big and comfortable. I hope to see this family again sometime in the future 🙏

The Sand Dollar House is an amazing place to stay if you love an eco-friendly environment and a nature lover. We truly enjoyed our time, and we're impressed by the kind and lovely family who even organized us a perfect Yala National Park tour. The outside living room style area was the best. At night, the fireflies were incredible.

It is a little bit away from the beach and restaurants.

The host was amazing and had a lovely family. They helped you with everything you needed. Great to just talk to and make you feel very at ease.

Everything was great. They could maybe clean the room everyday but this didn’t particularly bother us.

Fantastic place to stay and incredibly friendly and welcoming. The walk to Hiriketiya is a short 6 minutes and Roshani went out of her way to help me find onward transport.

Wow!! Everything is so well done amazing place! House is beautiful with a nice garden where you see lots of fireflies ❤️! Very magical to relax in the hammock after a nice day at the beach! Bella the dog is the cutest ! Breakfast was yummy and all this with the monkeys in the back playing! What a little slice of heaven! But the best part are Rashani and her daughter Methuki. My daughter really felt sad (we aswell) to leave this ‘home away from home’ 11 out of 10!!!

Lovely host & family! We felt incredibly welcome 🤗 We had amazing breakfast in the private outdoor kitchen/patio that is part of the room. Every morning our host prepared different Sri Lankan breakfast dishes and they were all very delicious. There are beautiful flowers and trees everywhere. New outdoor shower which is perfect after the beach. Bathroom was even equipped with a hairdryer.

We loved our stay at Sand Dollar house! The outdoor kitchen/living area, which includes a new outdoor shower, an outdoor bed and a handmade hammock was really cool place to chill! Roshani and the family are so lovely and really helpful. They also have 2 lovely dogs who love some cuddles! We will definetly back when we next come to Hiriketiya

Lovely family run homestay with nice outdoor area and comfortable room. A short walk away from restaurants and about a 10 min walk to the beach. It was nice to see how environmentally conscious the family were :)
