Sand Dollar House Hiriketiya

The Sand Dollar house was the perfect place to enjoy Hiri and Dikwella beaches. The outdoor kitchen/living area is ideal for lazy afternoons in the hammock. The hosts were very communicative and accommodating and also very friendly :) The bedroom is clean and exactly as described - We’d come back and stay again!

This is such a lovely Homestay. Gayashan and Roshani are really kind and attentive hosts. We loved the garden so much. It is full of greenery and facilities that made our stay relaxing and cosy. There is a big comfortable bed and a lovely bathroom with a hot water shower. Sand dollar house and Hiriketiya are our favourite places in Sri Lanka. Perfect place to relax and have some quite time. Kinda romantic and cute. We really loved the garden and were hanging out there a lot. the breakfast was also really good.

the bed is pretty creaky and probably not the strongest all in all the place is not very sound proof

Wonderful hospitality from Gayashan and Roshani and family. They really cared to make my stay comfortable. The room has a lush courtyard which is lovely to escape the heat. Walking distance from everything you need in Hiriketiya. They also helped me organise a tuktuk to go and see a temple and for my onward journey. Thank you!

We had such a lovely relaxed time here. ✅comfortable bed ✅lovely outside space ✅ delicious breakfast ✅brilliant location. A short walk to all restaurants and the beach. ✅ wonderful hosts ✅everything just great! Thank you for much for looking after us and making our time really special and memorable.

Lovely peaceful spot, feels like you are staying in the jungle with an outdoor shower and a garden full of plants. Only 10 min walk to the beach. Roshani was a lovely host, who was very attentive and made us feel very welcome in her eco homestay. We stayed an extra 2 nights as we loved it so much! Breakfast was great, a mix of Sri Lankan and western, changing every day. There was a water filter free to use to minimise plastic bottles, as well as lots of nice little details which really made you feel at home like: herbal tea, yoga mat, scented candles and a hair dryer.

Clean and very comfortable space! You have your own little patio and outside kitchen. The owners are super lovely and really want to make sure you're having a good stay. Highly recommended!
