Great location, spotless and a warm welcome. The bonus of a fridge with water and chcooate was much needed

What can I say - Michael and Paul are absolutely superb hosts and it felt like we were stopping with friends. Michael was there to greet us on arrival with our parking permits (we were early and they kindly let us check in straight away) - he also carried our bags to the room. The room is in the basement with a window to the street and own private entrance. It is bright and airy and HUGE! Inside is a wonderfully comfortable bed and Michael and Paul have made sure that your every comfort is taken care of. There are phone chargers around the room to suit all phone, umbrellas in the cupboard, ironing facilities, fresh milk, coffee pods - everything you could think of to make your stay as homely as possible. We arrived back to the room one day and they had placed fresh flowers from the garden in our room, along with a lovely card (with a tree frog on - my favourite - which Michael remembered from a brief conversation as we were checking in) welcoming us to their home. Everything is spotlessly clean, the shower is good and hot and it's a peaceful location so sleep was not an issue at all. Location was fantastic, an easy stroll to the local attractions and 2 minutes from the sea. I do want to mention that whilst the bathroom is private, it is up a set of stairs back to the main ground floor of the house - the stairs to the bathroom are used by the hosts to access the other areas of the basement so be aware that you may hear someone on the stairs. This did not in any way bother us (see my earlier not about feeling like we were stopping with friends) but I think it is worth a mention. Again as per earlier, we would stop here again in a heartbeat so please do not be put off - this is merely a comment to make people aware. I can not recommend this place highly enough and we will be back as soon as we possibly can. Thank you Michael and Paul! You were the best hosts we have ever encountered and we will see you both as soon as we possibly can!

Absolutely nothing bad to report. It's a fabulous place with wonderful hosts!

Wir waren insgesamt 3 Tage in diesem liebevoll eingerichteten Zimmer und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. M&P waren schon im Vorfeld sehr freundlich und haben unsere Fragen zeitnah beantwortet. Bei unserer Ankunft wurden wir herzlich empfangen. Sie halfen uns mit mit den Parkscheinen und gaben uns hilfreiche Tipps. Wir empfehlen diese Unterkunft sehr gerne weiter.

Michael and Paul have a wonderful home, it’s well-kept and they make every effort to be hospitable. The room itself is very spacious, the decor immaculate, and the hosts have great attention to detail. For example, they had every type of charging cable in the room already. The room and bathroom are clean, maintained daily, and great value for money. The room itself is below ground, which is fantastic for hot days. I didn’t need to turn the fan on once in 30 degree weather. Beyond that, Michael and Paul are so considerate. They shared good recommendations, offered me ice packs and water for beach picnics, and made every aspect of my stay very enjoyable.

Amazing room, huge and clean and a spotless private bathroom!! Lovely to meet the hosts who were very accommodating allowing a late check in and check out! Great area as well, a quick walk into the town center, also accessible by bus. Cute little cafe next door serving amazing coffee!! Would fully recommend to anyone visiting Brighton! Thanks Paul and Michael :)

Closeness to hospital

Our hosts were just lovely and gave recommendations for places to eat and things to see on our first visit to Brighton. The room was amazing, spotlessly clean and equipped with everything you would need for your stay and more. We loved it.
