The Broken Banyan

Beautiful and quiet gardens surrounded by wildlife.

The cottage was simple but comfy and had everything we needed for our stay. The garden surrounds were lovely and it was tranquil save for the pleasant sounds of birds of which there were many. Barbara the host was friendly and helpful. It was located reasonably close to Neds Beach and Middle Beach, the general store and the gin distillery.

Riding our push bikes up the very steep hill to get home after a full day of hiking,snorkelling or kayaking.

Poor wifi

Barbara was such a wonderful host - explaining about the island and gave us a great tour on arrival. Whilst up a hill - it is very easy to access both lagoon and Ned's Beach and there is a dinner drop off service to restaurants. We enjoyed our stay.

The wifi was very weak to get messages - even standing near the router - so bring your own star-link! The cabin was practical and very clean though showing age and could benefit from updating carpet and chairs.

Self catered. The location was ok.

Slightly more modern facilities would have been better but there are limited resources available.

Barbara was a lovely host and super helpful during our stay. The location was great and you can easily get around the island on bikes. The accommodation was just what we needed, somewhere to relax and cook if needed.

Ich möchte Barbara (Besitzerin) persönlich nicht zu nahe treten, aber das Anwesen bedarf einer gründlichen Sanierung sei es im Aussenbereich als auch im Innenbereich.
