Lovely waterfront condo with swimming pool and gym in the heart of Docklands

The apartment is in a great location, close to the tram line and easy access to the city.

Check in was terrible, I had to call multiple times, message and text just to be able to get the room key. When I collected the key the lady didn’t even know where the building was (how to get to the room/use the lift) or where to park the car. After I got into the apartment, the owner called to let me know someone else would be coming to stay with myself and 2 other guests (despite the booking staying we have the entire place to ourselves), I tried to tell the owner that no we were not going to be sharing the apartment as we paid for the ENTIRE apartment - not just 1 room and a lounge for 3 people (as this is what her solution was). She tried to tell me that I only booked for 2 people and the other booking was made last year so we had to share. I said it was not good enough and she told me she was going to call bookings.com. After our call I sent her my booking confirmation that highlighted I did indeed book for 3 people. I never heard back from her, so we did not know when we got home late that night if there was going to be other people in the apartment. The apartment was ok but it was not clean like a hotel. We paid a lot for a semi dirty apartment and a host that tried to scam us. I would never stay here again and would NEVER recommend this to anyone.

The location was convenient and close to key areas in Docklands.

I was unable to check in or access the property, and the contact details provided led to someone who denied any connection to the booking. The property never responded to Booking.com or to me directly. Booking.com has since refunded me.

For the exorbitant cost of the property, I would have expected something cleaner and more welcoming. The bathroom window was streaked, there was a cigarette butt on the balcony, and it just felt dirty, or lived in. Not even a welcome note with wifi password, or basic tea and coffee supplied. The 1lt shampoo/conditioner/body wash added to the lived in feel. They looked like they’d been there for ages, and certainly weren’t tempting to use - who knows what previous guests have put in there!!

They did not open the door for me once I arrived and the number on the platform belonged to someone who was not even in Melbourne. I have complained that I never got to stay at this place but the owner has ignored my calls and I had to hire new accomodation at 10pm after being made to wait for 3 hours outside.

Where do I start…… Steve who greeted us is lovely once he knew we were coming, apparently the owners never advise him. Once we were in the property it was stuffy, cold, cluttered, the bedrooms appeared to be teenagers rooms and again couldn’t get anything in the wardrobes due to what appeared to be a hoarders wet dream. The heating didn’t work, I set it to 30 degrees heating and even the penguins packed their shit up and left. The WI-FI didn’t work, look this doesn’t usually bother me but when the TV relies on it there’s the problem. I think my arse cheek is still stuck in the couch because that appeared to have collapsed the same week as the Berlin Wall. The place was grubby and the sell by date on the shampoo bottles were from WWII. So skip to trying to get a refund for the 1hr 45mins I tolerated the place before I booked another hotel (to be frank I’ve stayed in $20 hostels that were better than this place) I’ve since spoken to steve and he advise that the owner doesn’t care who rents the place and he has even had to kick junkies out in the past whilst they were carrying throw pillows AND window blinds!!! Please don’t waste your money on this place and keep letting the owners keep getting away with this. I am $500 out of pocket, don’t let it happen to you. Such a waste of what could be da really nice place.
