Beautiful, spacious and spotless chalet and very friendly host, Ruth. Loved the large balcony for stunning views down to the valley. Lovely kitchen, living area and bedrooms with comfy beds. Highly recommended. Hope to come back one day!

Didn’t want to leave. Pack your walking shoes - quite steep from the train station down to the chalet, about 10min walk.

This was by far our favorite stay of our 16 days in Switzerland! The apartment was immaculate and the views of Lauterbrunnen and the Alps were absolutely beautiful! We slept every night with the windows open listening to the cow bells in a nearby field. Best sleep of the whole trip. Ruth even had slippers for us to wear, as they ask for no shoes in the house. There was even a hairdryer with a diffuser for us curly haired girls!! The fully equipped kitchen was great! The apartment is in an extremely quiet location with beautiful birds singing and cow bells ringing. So peaceful. But the balcony with the view makes it perfect!! We loved Wengen! But be sure to be in shape as most of the roads/walkways are very steep. Nothing that was not manageable. Wengen has little taxis that can transport those with lots of luggage or who are unable to make it up the steep roads. Lots of great restaurants and the Coop grocery a short walk away as is the train station. Everything here made our stay perfect! There is also a washer and dryer in a nearby building to use for CHF 5. We truly couldn’t have asked for more!!! Favorite stay for all of us!

The stunning views from the living area, the bedroom and the balcony were what we loved most. The space is large and comfortable, clean and well arranged. We cooked several meals, and the kitchen is well-equipped.

This is NOT a negative, merely something to be aware of: It is a bit of a walk to/from the train station. Our hostess arranged a taxi to take us and our luggage to the train when we left, which was very nice.

Ruth has been an exceptional host. Amazing location. Very nice, cosy and well maintained Chalet. Would certainly love to visit again.

First night it was a bit cold, but Ruth was kind enough to make it more comfy from second day onwards.

Spacious and spotless apartment with a million dollar view of the Lauterbrunnen valley. We loved the full sized kitchen and the balcony where we made and had dinner every night. The ability to do laundry was an added plus to our stay. Our host was also very lovely and helpful.

Nothing. Even though we enjoyed the uphill walk every morning to the train station, it may not be for everyone.

Loved the perfect view from the living room and balcony. Chalet spotlessly clean and everything you could need provided. Host very welcoming and helpful. So peaceful at night.

De rust en de omgeving , geen auto's

De taksi van wengen station naar het huisje letterlijk 4.5 minuten rijden en 25 euro durven te vragen dat vind ik het meest belachelijke . Het is meer dat je ze persee nodig hebt en geen alternatieven zijn . Maar heb dit bij aankomst en verlaten van het huisje betaald gelukkig.
