Gringo et Sonia sont adorables et nous ont parfaitement accueillis. Le logement était parfait, un peu excentré du centre de Drake donc très calme. Une vue magnifique depuis la terrasse sur la végétation luxuriante et bien occupée par des oiseaux, colibris, agoutis… Une experience inoubliable. Merci encore !

De douche was snel koud. De cabana die wij hadden is niet die gele etage van de foto hierboven.

Tout ! La gentillesse des hôtes et leur aide pout l'organisation des activités, l'emplacement et la taille du logement.

Die Unterkunft liegt auf einem Hügel umgeben von hohen Bäumen und vielen Blühpflanzen. Das Haus ist sehr geräumig, hat ein großes Schlafzimmer mit AC, eine großzügige Wohnküche, ein ausreichendes Bad mit Warmwasser und einen Balkon mit phantastischem Blick. Man kann unzählige Vögel, u.a. Kolibris und Tukane, beobachten außerdem Legunane und Agutis. Fußläufig sind viele Supermärkte und Restaurants, also perfekt zum Ausgehen und Selbstverpflegen. Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich, habe uns gezeigt wo wir gut einkaufen können und uns am Strand abgeholt und auch wieder zum Bootsshuttle gebracht.

The kindness of the staff and how clean and tidy it was

We loved staying here, the apartment is huge and very well equipped with everything you need. From storage space to cooking equipment. It was perfect for us, and there were some nice touches we appreciated, like the towel art and fancy folded toilet paper (very cute). And also that it was cleaned every few days, that was nice. We were able to do laundry and it was perfect, all clothes were nicely folded. But the best thing about it was the balcony, we got up at 5:30am most days to watch the birds and saw many toucans, Aracaris, tanagers, honeycreepers, hummingbirds (including the long-billed hermit which I'd been trying to see feeding on the heliconias for weeks! Well, you can see it here!). Also lots of iguanas in the trees, Agoutis on the ground. We also did tours with them, Sirena station, Cano island snorkelling and a night walk, all good prices, and they even dropped us off at the beach for the tours, and picked us up and dropped us off the beginning and end with our bags. Thank you so much.

It was a longer walk to the beach/shops/restaurants, but obviously we knew this before and expected it. We picked this place because we wanted to be somewhere quieter and enjoy the beautiful balcony and nature, and so the walk was worth it in our opinion. ☺️

Nice self contained apartment with everything in that one would need. The kitchen is well stocked with good equipment. There's filter coffee, a big fridge, nice AC in the sleeping room, and a cool balcony to chill on. The host was lovely as well. You can see a few birds from the balcony as well. I often saw/heard macaws flying over (albeit a bit high to get a good photo) and a toucan nearby. In the trees/bushes right next to the balcony you can see lots of smaller birds.

Only thing I can think of is that the motor bikes along the road (which is some distance away) are a bit loud, but it's minor.

Visiting Tico’s cabanas was a pleasure for the soul. We really enjoyed every mornings and evenings on the balcony watching beautiful birds, parrots, hummingbirds, toucans and agoutis. Everytime we met Tico and his lovely wife, we felt very welcome, they are very nice people and really wonderful hosts, it was always a pleasure to meet them and chat about the wildlife. There weren’t any screens on the windows, but it was managable and the air conditioned bedroom worked very well. We would love to stay there again. Qué estés bien. Pura vida.

Spacious accommodation for 4. Every other day cleaning with fresh linens, bath rugs and towels. Openness of back room to tiny balcony.

Small two burner electric table top stove w/ little capacity. Barely able to fry plantains.
