The apartment would be nice But if it were clean If you come on holiday for 2 days and you have to start cleaning immediately after entering the house… They did not clean after the tourist that was in before us

Our stay at this apartment was incredibly disappointing due to a continuously blocked shower, unstable kitchen furniture, and the owner's refusal to provide compensation or acknowledge our concerns, even charging us the full price. We cannot recommend this accommodation to others, as the lack of responsiveness and unresolved issues greatly affected our experience. Firstly, upon arriving at the apartment, I discovered that the shower was completely blocked, rendering it unusable throughout my entire stay. This is an essential facility, and its inaccessibility severely inconvenienced me. Despite notifying the apartment owner, they did not rectify the situation or offer an alternative solution. The toilet skirting board was covered in mould, emitting unpleasant odors and clearly indicating a lack of cleanliness and maintenance. To make matters worse, I even found evidence of previous occupants in the form of pubic hair, which was revolting and totally unacceptable. Moreover, the kitchen furniture was in an extremely precarious state. Every piece of furniture, from chairs to tables, exhibited instability, as if they were about to collapse at any moment. I felt unsafe and concerned throughout my entire stay, fearing that any minor movement could result in a dangerous accident. This is supposed to be an accommodation catered for beach holiday makers. But you can't even wash in the shower cubicle in the apartment as the drainage is blocked. I do not recommend this place unless all these issues are sorted.

This is a very good apartment in an excellent location. The hosts were quick to respond to a question I had on arrival. In previous reviews people have commented on a problem with the shower but that was fixed when we were there. All in all, a great place to stay but it is in no way a "luxury" apartment as described, for the reasons below.

In my experience "luxury" accommodation provides an attention to detail which was lacking at Norman Road. The bedding is standard with basic sheets, a thick and lumpy duvet and pillows like bricks, if this is what you like then it's great, if not, it makes for a very uncomfortable night's sleep. I did ask if other pillows were available but never received a response. Also, the main source of light is from a central court yard which could be lovely but it was unkept and the windows on to it were very dirty, blocking essential light entering the apartment. Simple adjustments would make a stay at Norman Road much better.
