Good Times Edinburgh Elm Row City Centre Apartment

Clean well maintained and decorated. It’s snug and I was expecting a tv but this was not a big draw back. Wasn’t there long. Owner replied to queries in reasonable timing.

As with all accommodations in Edinburgh it’s pricey. I was initially unsure about the £200 damage deposit as this was unusual but it was returned as promised.

The decor, the pillows (they are firm but fluffy- I loved them enough to try and find a label to see where they were from), the duvet (warm), good hairdryer, use of sliders (two different size ranges available), tea and coffee facilities, kitchen appliances available (microwave, toaster, fridge/freezer, kettle), even just having two warm-glow lamps in the bedroom. All just felt really cosy and self-contained.

The property description said there was toiletries, which led me to believe there was shampoo and conditioner, not just a combined body and hair soap. The damage deposit, although understandable, I do agree with a previous review that it did feel a little dodgy at the time. Also, not in the owner’s control at all, but don’t be put off by the building’s somewhat dilapidated entrance hall- the apartment is lovely.

A TV would have been helpful. The curfew was a little annoying as I was attending an awards ceremony and had to leave early in order to get back in time - but I understand why it is there.

the flat is in a handy central location

the facilities are very basic for the price there is no sofa or living room, no TV ,No Radio lots of parts of the room and kitchen are locked up making it feel like you intruding not very welcoming.
