The Hideaway

Cute little apartment. Great that there was a log burner in the living room. Comfortable bed. Facilities in the village are very good - nice pub, shop, cafe and post office.

The property is directly above the village shop so there was some noise that came into the apartment when the shop was active. But it wasn’t a big issue given we were out during the day.

Everything, the location was perfect. We loved the restaurant across the road the Dabbling Duck, you have to try their sticky toffee pudding. It was frosty when we arrived but Mark had turned the heating on before we arrived so it was toasty and welcoming. Even small things like having a pint of milk in the fridge so we didn't have to worry about going to get lots of things or the treats of local cookies. Our favorite part was the log burner, sitting with a roasting fire, whilst looking out at the beautiful surroundings lightly covered on frost was just magical. It was my partners birthday trip and being able to set up a relaxing bubble bath in the amazing bathroom was just what she needed. We loved the duck theme which really fitted the setting, we'll be back.

Cosy place in an ideal location

Location very good although access for the car and parking were not ideal

Lack of hooks on bathroom door and heating system which needed adjustment. The heating in the bedroom came on in the middle of the night and made the room hot as it was set to 23.5C

Love the wood burner and cosy feel. The bed is the comfiest bed I have ever slept in away from home. The bath is also lovely and deep, perfect for a relaxing soak.

Not the properties fault, but due to the bad weather we had a short power cut. Some candles for emergencies would be helpful if the power goes out.

The perfect little getaway location. The apartment has everything you could want and more, decorated to an exceptional standard. Very charming indeed.
