Ground Floor City Retreat

Good location. Nice, clean, modern apartment with good facilities overall & ideal for our stay in Bath. It was also a stone's throw from a Tesco Express so was nice & easy to get food & drink supplies for breakfast, etc.

The shower was questionable. It was in a raised alcove above floor level & kind of felt like you were washing in a cupboard! Also the temperature fluctuated between luke warm & scalding without any adjustment by us. Due to the confined conditions, you wouldn't want to use it if you were 6ft or over! The apartment was right by the main railway line so we had high speed trains going literally right by our bedroom window regularly, often two at a time passing each other 😳. We got used to it but light sleepers beware!

Handy for bus into Bath and walk along canal.

No washing machine. Not as clean as I expected.

Great location, easy check in (once I found the key safe). Kitchen pretty well equipped. Had a comfortable stay and would come again.

Could have done with tea towels for washing up. Shower was small and bathroom had some visible damp and mould.

Comfortable one bed ground floor apartment with all the amenities you need for a weekend or longer stay. Useful extra toilet and basin in basement. Handy Tesco Express nearby. Quiet from traffic noise. Right next to train line but we did not find it a problem and not too noisy. Host responded quickly to an issue with the electricity supply and all was good. Pleasant 15 min walk into town.

Requested twin beds rather than a double in advance but host did not appear to get message via booking.com app.

The best thing about the apartment was the location - it was 10 minutes walk to the city centre and also close to the canal for a nice walk to see the famous 'Bath skyline'. Parking was very convenient and reasonably priced at the church at the bottom of the hill (needs to be booked beforehand).

The apartment was above a railway line, but once you get used to the trains it doesn't cause problems. The apartment was also quite chilly, not sure if the thermostat wasn't working or we weren't using it correctly but the radiators took a while to heat up, so would suggest taking blankets/hot water bottles.

Location close to where we wanted to be, in a building with age and history, as we would expect from this historic city. The kitchen is great and the apartment in general is very clean.

We did not appreciate that it was in a building over the top of a railway line. The trains unfortunately kept us awake. The en-suite is very small and not thought out well. Give better instruction on how to switch on the extractor fan and the towel rail, better still make the auto/ timed switch on. The tv signal is interrupted every time a bus passes, which is irritating.
