Holyrood New Apartment

The hospitality was amazing! Very friendly and responsive team for the queries and they were very accommodating for our requests as well. The location was good too:) Overall we had a good time during our stay!

The apartment was clean and has all basic equipment needed. We spent five days and we manage to prepare some foods at home as well. We have a very pleasant stay and enjoy the time spent with the family.

There was no coffee machine in the kitchen or some small coffee pot, but we manage somehow.

Modern and clean, hosts were great.

clean, close to royal mile, Arthur's seat. kitchen and bathroom ok, beds firm but ok, no noise whilst sleeping. free parking.

my party consisted of 3 adults. I note this apartment can sleep 5 but unless you don't care about being able to relax in the evening I would not recommend. living area had a 2 seater sofa bed which was so uncomfortable as cushions slipped onto floor and it was hard. I asked if there was another comfy chair and was told there was a comfy bean bag. it was not comfy as again worn and had very few 'beans'. only lighting, apart from main ceiling light, a very small fake tree with red lights so we brought a bedside light downstairs. I have reported above and a few other issues to host. the host messaged on arrival day to apologise for the condition of the building and that is an understatement. the stairwell and immediate area were depressing to say the least. parking was indeed free and 2-3 mins walk away. in a multi storey car park. although this is out of the hosts control I feel I must mention the scary experience when accessing this car park due to the crowd of drug addicts who congregate on the stairs taking drugs. it is next door to the community space for these poor young people. we had to navigate through human excrement too. my advice would be park on the floors no higher than level 5. if these issues don't worry you then it's clean and adequate, however we paid £1000 plus for 4 nights which was in my opinion way over priced.

The apartment was in a good location close to all the main attractions in Edinburgh. It had two bathrooms which was very helpful as we booked it for 2 couples. The internet worked very well.

The outside appearance is terrible so it is a bit of shock when you arrive. You then have to lug bags up three full flight of stairs which is not ideal! The kitchen had no fry pan for some reason so we could not cook the breakfast we wanted. The en-suite bathroom is not much bigger than a telephone box so would be very tight for some people.
