The location was peaceful, needed somewhere like this to go and chill. sit there and watch life pass by

The weather could have been nicer. Wished the sun was out so that we sit on the roof terrace.

Location is amazing, so tranquil and loved the swans and signets swimming past us every morning. Lovely and quiet.

Didn't meet any staff in person, reception said it was open 10-12 but no-one answered when we knocked at these times. House boats don't have an oven, and I would have liked some coffee and teas left out for us for the next morning. Would recommend hiring a car - local taxi companies unsure of location as postcode doesn't take them to correct place. No WiFi is available, and the TV didn't get any signal. Water pressure was good intially, then spluttering and cold in the shower, and kitchen tap on the morning before we left

Called the accommodation numerous times at 17:35 to confirm we were to be 10 minutes late of our check in and couldn't get an answer. Left various emails to provide update. Caretaker later in the evening confirmed he left at 17:00 which left us without access to the property and having to find alternative accommodation (miles away). Still awaiting full refund that was promised from Booking.com whilst left stranded outside Couston Lakes Resort.

We stayed in a pod with hot tub. The pod was spotless with everything we needed. The resort is so relaxing with the lake. We had lovely weather which made our night even better. The hot tub was amazing, didn’t want to come out. Staff are pleasant, helpful and welcoming. We called the local Chinese takeaway, China Town for a delivery and it was so good, highly recommend and saves cooking.

The only thing we didn’t like was that we only booked for one night, we were sad to leave in the morning.

Beautiful scenery and wildlife, clean and modern. The man who met us to check in was so lovely, told us all we needed to know. Loved his passion for the place!
