The hut was clean and tidy. It had everything I needed for the restful, recharge I was looking for. The welcome pack was amazing, not just for the info about the hut and local area. It's all about the dragons. Loved my time here would definitely go again.

"Absolutely exceptional"

10.0

John was super lovely and friendly. He was easy to contact and he had so many recommendations of things to do and places to eat. The hut was lovely and cosy with amazing views and we can’t wait to go back. It’s in the perfect location and cheap for its price too. You just try the boat and cross foxes for dinner as well. Incredible.

"Bad"

1.0

Nothing.

If you like an infestation of lady bugs(which are, after all, an insect). Therefore, feeling itchy and dirty all night. Not getting to sleep until 3am, then being completely dismissed by the owner like this is acceptable. We booked 3 nights and were looking forward to staying and only stayed for one. No offer of compensation no apology. BOOK WITH CAUTION!!! The pictures show the paper I had to stuff around the window to stop further bugs. Just another note. Advertised with a TV, which to most people means a TV signal...don't be daft! You get to watch old dvds or listen to the radio. False advertising.

"OK if you're not too fussy. £1 coins for the electric"

4.0

Although it states in the folder of many instructions that we had been left some provisions there weren't any. We ate out on our day trip.

The picture's depict solidarity, the next hut is 20ft away. It didn't state on the ad that we needed £1 coins for the electric meter and the glorious looking hut needs a lick of paint on the outside as you can see it doesn't look as lovely now. The owner whilst nice enough was in every corner. He told us the pool costs an enormous amount of money to run and we're lucky the weather had kept it open. (after instructing us to wind the cover off and we must pull it back over the pool. The pool isn't private as stated as its shared with the chalets and the 2 huts and the owner gets in with his giant rubber ring and enjoys it with the guests. The bedding was grubby and stained and when we stripped it before we left (another instruction) there was a urine stain on the mattress topper! The ad states a TV but there's no aerial so you can choose a dvd from the shelf (bless this house was one of them) the bathroom needs a really good scrub. I couldn't bear to use the shower as there's mould on the bottom of door and tray. It states there are toiletries but they're not personal holiday sized, just the dregs of what someone has left so not too hygienic there.. That said. I think a good scrub between guests and cleaner linen would rectify this. The location is absolutely stunning and being woken up by 2 huge air balloons in the morning about 80 feet away was a bonus.

"A hidden gem. Very good"

10.0

A hidden gem. Beautifully maintained grounds, quirky and clean. The most well thought out handbook with all information of the local area with a sense of humour included. Great for couples but also groups as there are 5 locations on site however enough privacy with each location. The host was very thorough, pleasant and friendly. The pool was clean, well maintained and safe if you have small children with gates. The Shepherd's Hut had a kettle, toaster, microwave and fridge with a bbq outside. An ensuite shower and toilet. Double bed and tv with an array of dvds. Electricity is operated by a meter which coat approx £1.50 a day.

Genuinely not.
